Since PJ asked me to post the new 2012 Price List tonight on the SPECTOR website and once I do you can all download it and see the new options, etc...

Here are the ones that show up on the new price list that are pretty cool.

The Performer is getting a new neck. From a single piece to a 5-piece neck. This is a big improvement to me.
Also the Performer-5 will be available after NAMM.

The only other thing I'd point out is that you can now order (special order) a Euro with the maple fingerboard. :D So how cool is that?

You guys already know about the Black Pearl option for all maple neck USA basses and the Coda Deluxe models.

Then there's the Webcaster and Podcaster electric guitars... a vintage Strat (like how the Coda is a vintage P) and a vintage Tele style.

And there's a few more surprises not on the price sheets you all will have to wait for the show.

The Euro4LX-TW-35 is the perfect solution if you need a low-B tuned bass but don't want to adjust to a 5-string.

Mine (identical to Nicki's but with a flame maple neck) is still for sale... :D And I'm making a great deal on it. PM me to find out.

Thanks for the info, and thanks to LimaGuy as well. I tried BEAD tuning before I got my Spector 5-string and its not for me, because I use both the B-string and the G-string quite often and felt a bit restricted by it. I also really like the wider profile and tighter string spacing of a 5er, but that's just personal preference. I think my next bass will have to be a Euro 5LX though, time to start saving!

Thanks a lot Lima! I appreciate all of the feedback I've been getting from everyone. I really am happy that people like the tracks. I'll be sure to post more in the future.

Very informative. Thanks for posting. I was playing a long jam session with some friends Saturday and actually had my Euro with flats instead of NS-Blue. They wanted me busy busy and instead of drop tuning to D I was thinking of tuning BEAD. I might practice with that and run it this Friday night.

Again, thanks as always Patrick. I learn so much from the videos and posts you (and others on this forum) run. :hyper: :bassist:

Yes, they can but they can also be a nightmare. If all the pieces being used haven't been dried the same they can each expand or contract individually where as a 1 piece neck will move together.

Woohoo! :hyper: just found out thru email five minutes ago that my new Forte4 is being delivered today!!! And I'm sitting in the hospital waiting for my wife to complete her Endoscopy. :rollno: ARG!!! I'm like 10 minutes from the UPS center too! Time for a phone call!

What time does UPS usually deliver to your house? (sending my UPS truck tracking skills vibe your way....lol)

Quick photos and review, before you go into hidding for 24-48 hours. ;) And your cab is coming too this week.

I have a feeling someone will be playing sick from work this week. :hiding:

SPECTOR's 3 piece neck seems really stable from the ones that I've had. And I'm sure the wood has been kiln dried very well to Stuarts standards. I've always liked the look of the Ibby's 5 piece necks. The Performer that I had with a 1 piece neck I was really a little Leary of possibly a chance of warping, bowing or moving constantly.
I know from woodworking and home building that the more plies that you can glue together, the more strength you'll have. Heck my PR-410HLF is 13 ply Baltic Birchwood! :smug:

I wasn't trying to say Spector necks would have problems. I do like a 3 piece a lot. I did have a friend who had some terrible luck with a 5 piece ibanez neck.

I've had 1 piece necks that were extremely stable though!

Lololol!!! Thank you Sam! We get delivery between 4-6pm:bawl: :rollno: If I'd known before today, i pass right by the UPS facility on our way into Petoskey where the hospital is at. Lol Oh well...i don't have to tell you how I'm feeling right now! Maybe I can go and coach the Endeoscopy Dr. to speed him up?! WWLGD? Lol After all...it's not my bottom he's scoping. Lol :hiding: :O Oh, I'm bad. :ninja:

What?! Only 48 hours?!?! Short changing me aren't you?!

My 810 delivers tomorrow!!! I'm going to faint from all the excitement!!! I better get some smelling sauce when we stop at the pharmacy today! Lol

I'm 30 miles from home...with the UPS driver in between us...driving around on his daily route...totally unaware to the master plan that's being developed by LimaGuy & Ice! Bohahaha!

Yeah, it all depends on how dry the wood is and stays dry. And with the rock maple that SPECTOR uses I don't believe you could get any better.
What type of wood does Ibby's use for their necks? I'm really interested in seeing the first 5 piece SPECTOR neck. :)
