Hey Phat, what years are those?
True, but incomplete.

Nope.Maybe you're confusing the CRFM (Woodstock Era) with the Euro. My SS CRFM has full maple wings, brass bridge and Crown Inlays.![]()

Nope.
It's the bass in my avatar.
Other than an SSD era, I've owned or own them all.
I've posted this before several times.
Looks like it's time for a refresher.
1993 - early 1999
NS-4CR, NS-5CR model numbers.
"SSD" Stuart Spector Design name and logo.
Dot fingerboard markers.
Most had EMG BT active tone controls.
Serial numbers are just 4 digits.
Mid 1999 'transition'.
Continued NS-4CR, NS-5CR model numbers.
Restart original "SS" Spector name and logo.
Addition of mother of pearl crown inlays and 35" scale on 5 strings.
Serial numbers are still 4 digits.
2001
Addition of the Aguilar OBP-1 circuit (at the end of the year).
Serial numbers are started over and have "NB" in front (NBxxxx).
Start model NAMES Euro4/5.
2002, or...sometime early this decade.
Bridge changed to shiny polished gold.
At that time bridge material changed to zinc brass alloy, from solid brass.
2002
Beginning incorporation of the Spector TonePump circuit.
2004
Start of EuroLX models (alder back, walnut slice, maple top).
2006
Introduction of the Euro 6 LX.
2008
A trim pot is added to the Tone Pump (all equiped models).

...he forgot 2 letters...LX....2 very important letters in my opinion.
Hey,
Quick question guys.
Does anyone here know the potentiometer values are for the bass and treble control's on the Haz or Haz Copy Preamps?
Thanks!

For the bassist looking for a good bolt-on, with different flavors, the ReBop mm would be an excellent addition to their arsenal, but I'm with you on this Jeff. Dollar for dollar, I'd rather put the money on a used Kramer. Also if you're buying it new, that's so close to a USA built bolt-on and Forte. It's a sweet bass for sure! And it's really great to have options for your bass arsenal. The Rebop sounds great!!....but then at the end when I heard the NS2.......Thats where my $$$ goes!!!!
+1 on the GHS flats!!! I miss them...I've been thinking about buying a couple sets. Also want to try those ridiculously priced Jaco Dogals! The clip that JPS played a while back, with Dogals on one of his Spector's with JJ pickups, sounded awesome from high to mids to lows! Also put a set of GHS Precision Flats I had lying around on my NS20004 so I did a comparison of rounds to flats with that bass as well.
I'd like to post some of this in the coming week since the clips will finally answer questions people have been asking me
Icebox, you were right man, Precision flats on a Spector sounds great! The NS20004 is the smoother sounding of my 3 Spectors so it got the flats, and they really just sound like someone smoothed out my DR rounds, missing some high mids so the bridge pickup soloed isn't as awesome, but overall sounds nice and smooth and really nice feel to playing them.
Buwahahaha! That looks like an Omer starter set.![]()

I didn't realize you played thru Ampeg rigs! Cool!I hear ya. I'm a bit of a fanboy myself to an extent lol
All through my ampeg SVP Pro and 810 cab

reposting, cuz I don't think I got a number last time.
Can I get one? ^_^

Told you guys, the MMBop stoked my SAS... but I couldn't wait for it. Just bought a like new Euro 4LX - the natural one with the really nice quilt top that's been on the bay. Been watching it for a while and got him to work with me on the price. I love the natural look and that bass was calling me. I'll get pics up as soon as I get it.
My Black Zebop 5DLX will be hitting the classifieds soon. I'm just not playing the 5 at all since I got back into 4's. Hit me up if anyone is interested. It's still like new.
As you know the 10th Anniversary ReBop4-MM bass is now being shown to the public for the first time this weekend at Bass Player Live.
Before arriving at Bass Player Live, it took a mini tour and visited with me for some of my famous "Limaguy" sound clips.
It then visited with Jaymi for one of his famous Video reviews.
Clips and Video below.

Feel free to PM me or Jaymi with any questions.
In my clips I am comparing The ReBopMM with a MusicMan USA Made Sub Sterling. (not to be confused with the current import version)
Special Thanks to PJ for allowing this to happen and to Lee for lending his MusicMan USA Made Sub Sterling.

That is great news about the drummer seventh! I can't wait to hear more music from your band, you all have such a unique and awesome sound! Missed ya in here! Off the road for a while? We've been working hard on new songs with Winter Of Freedom and one song in particular has a very distinct mood, I use the Chorus and the Tremolo in parts then the M-80 dirt channel on the rest as I always use.
In any case, news from here (aside from raining non stop);
We're playing this "festival" of sorts tonight with about 12 other bands at a pretty cool venue, should be fun. Short set list.
Auditioning yet ANOTHER drummer on Monday. As a favour to me, a friend of mine who playing in a band called 3 Inches Of Blood here locally has agreed to help us out on shows from now on when he's not busy on tour and if we haven't found a drummer yet so that is great news, he's an incredible drummer and a great person.
This week we'll be hitting the new tracks every day and work on arrangements, keyboards and vocal layers. Should be fun!

Did someone mention a pedalboard?![]()

Finally had the time to sit down and skim though the thread only to find your post haha!

I guess I am still in my JC fanboy phase? Not sure, I'm not trying to copy his tone or sound, I use an Ampeg rig and a Spector.
But I do love the range of sound-scape that the pedals give me.

Gentleman I have a question. If I order a new bridge from the Spector site for my Euro 4 string will the groves in the saddles be cut already when shipped or will they be blank? For my personal taste the G always is too close to the edge of the fretboard and I want to cut them myself. Thanks for any reply
.
I realize most are 100% happy with how they come but its just [personal taste thanks.
They come blank.
