There is a NICE used Rebop at GC in Totowa. $699

These things are flying up in price again, eh? Just a couple months ago you couldn't get $400 for one.

I wonder what kind of rig he has (did you see him mic the cabinet) and direct send he is using for the board?

ampeg 810 and fender/sunn 300t is at least what he use to use. In this video posted last year he was using the same..

Nobody knows why he says his bass is "American made" though :-) I think he was just kidding around.

Spector NS-2J-FM body

I used the fretless neck I had intended for this on a ReBop MM body (to great results :D) so I've come to the conclusion it will be a good long time before I have time for this project so I'm letting it go to someone that can "git 'er dun". :p

I "might" consider a trade for an already finished/loaded ReBop body as I could slap my extra ReBop neck on in two minutes and be ready to roll. :hyper:

Thanks

I have a pre 2004 ReBop that I'm considering re-finishing. Is.. Is that sacrilege? I wish I were in the USA, I'd most likely take you up on that deal. Been wanting to get into fretless territory for a while.

I have 2 refinished Spectors thanks the MrBassie :) I say go for it

I totally agree with Donny :). Go for it! After the refin, you will have a new instrument on your hands. During the refin is also a great time to shave your neck, if you're so inclined, or make any modifications. I will now shamelessly take this opportunity to show my last refin with some minor mods. US 9V and black powder coated brass bridge.

Love, love LOVE this bass! The re-fin turned out so nice....

Nice tones. The guitars are crunchy too! :bassist:

The weirdest part is, I used a super high gain death metal distortion on the gutiars, yet they came out pretty crunchy! Haha!

That looks amazing. I think you've both convinced me. Now to find a good re-fin guy.

Fantastic job on all of your refinished work, are you doing these yourself or having the paint/stain done by someone else?
