JPS, I sent you an email the other day regarding upgrading my ReBop with EMG 35DC's. There is a pair going for a great price on ebay. Would these fit in without any modifications? Besides the 500K volume pots being changed to 25K pots

sorry had to jump in... i changed out my emg-hz for a dc and p5. you wont need any physical changes the bass but you might need to get need knobs if using the set EMG provides with the pups.

Well, I've been through several bases through my time.
1st: Ibanez Gio GSR-190 (still own it, leave it at school)
2nd: Ibanez Ergodyne EDC700(Gone)
3rd: Hohner HAB-40 (I believe) Acoustic-Electric (Traded it for #4)
4th: Schecter Stilleto Studio 5 (traded it for #5)
5th: Schecter Exotic bass (very good bass but the pickups/electronics were pretty bad-sold it for $390 to buy a G&L in March of 2011)
I really was GASing for a USA G&L L-2000, ASAT, or L-1500. But I didn't have too much money. So being a broke teenager, i was just hoping for a blessing ;) So one day, I was browsing Craigslist when a Spector came up. the ad said that it was a Spector Euro NS4-CR. I always knew that the Spector Euro's and USA's were pretty good. So I posted a thread on TB ( http://www.talkbass.com/forum/f8/spector-euro-ns-4cr-vs-g-l-l-2000-a-778329/ ) about both. I decided to jump on the Spector. So the guy i bought it off lived 2 hours away so i met him half way, i played it through an Ibanez starter 25w guitar amp on a sidewalk and it sounded amazing. The guy ended up throwing in a real nice strap, too. I love this bass, I came to the conclusion that I'm never not going to have at least one Spector in my hands for the rest of my life. I ended up setting the bass up myself with medium action. I did a fairly good job. I emailed Spector to find out some more about the bass. (They have amazing customer Service! :hyper: ) And i found out that it's sort of a rare bass and that it's actually a Spector NS-4CR-FM. It's a gorgeous bass. Now all I need is a good amp! :p

that's what I play through and the combination of the SPECTOR bass and Trace Elliot amps give me the sound that mooooooves me....
and my neighbors! LOL.

Hey! Just found out some history on my Ian Hill from Adam on Bass (formerly of Firkinah Souls)....

JPS.. you may remember this one....

He originally bought it from SPECTOR® as he is an Endorser.
"it was a "NAMM demo" that got jacked at the show, the bracelet marks." :eek:

It has some blemishes in the finish above the P pup but, not very noticeable and I don't mind... has MOJO! :eyebrow::cool:
He installed the EMG BQC after he bought it.
Killer sound with stacked Treble/Bass, stacked Hi & Low Mids, controls!

There were 2 basses one had genes face as the inlay on the headstock . Hope I'm not confusing this info with the Charlie laboue basses . Been a while since I did the research .
