Played around with the new Freeze pedal, too. Not sure if it's something I'm coordinated enough to use as intended haha. I kinda feel a pedal purge coming on...there's a couple things I don't know if I'm gonna use much. I've pretty much complete abandoned my phaser for chorus.

Mistake # 1, letting Dan Precision leave. (I think he sniffed out where the band was going)


By the way, one of my favorite guitar players and a super nice guy. A while back I friended him on myspace. He sent me a message and we shot the proverbial ****. Super down to earth guy, even though Zach Blair is super down to earth too (opened for Only Crime), I liked Dan better.

My guitarist put P/J Alumitones in his Kramer bass a couple weeks ago. I A/B'd the sh*t outta the Squier and Kramer yesterday before making the decision. The Lace pups definitely have a more distinct tone that I dig. The stock pups on the Squier seem a little muddy, and John said he sometimes lost me in the mix with them.

My guitarist's Nitro Hemis sound KILLER! No experience with the bass stuff, but they have an impressive roster of artists, that's for sure.

If I had scratch for them, I'd bite.

There were a lot of bands that came out around the same time that were sort of bringing back the melodic hardcore punk thing in a really good way, then they all kind of farted out after an album or two. Strike Anywhere was another one of those, even though I thought their political shtick was a little heavy handed, I really liked the songs.

Dan did another band with Denis, the singer from 88FL, called Zero To Sixty. It didn't last very long though, just an EP I think.

I've liked all the samples I've heard of them. The biggest complaint I've heard about them is that they don't sound like vintage 60s Precision pickups, which is fine by me. I like more bite, that's why I like the Dimarzio Model P in my Precision. I had been thinking about doing a beater PJ with some of those Lace pickups though. I was mulling over buying a bunch of pickups for my guitars from them too. It's one of those low on the priority list things though.

They def do have more bite, that's for sure. But that's what I like about them.

Yeah, Strike Anywhere! That was the first tour I saw Rise Against on. RA opened, Strike Anywhere, Good Riddance, and Anti Flag. I got "asked" to put out my cigarette by a very, very large fellow who explained that the one of the dudes was allergic to smoke or something. He was basically monitoring the venue and asking everyone.

I obliged. Glad I don't waste money on that anymore.
I keep telling my wife that if I put back $5 every two days (what I would spend if I smoked today), I would have some sweet ass gear by now. She said I use that money for "other" stuff now so it's a wash :(


Oh well. I've been lucky with righteous dudes like Corey and Kawai (thanks again fellas) hooking me up. I need to pass down that good Karma soon. Only problem is, I don't have anything to pass on right now....

Yeah I am on the BB waiting list, and have a russian clone being built and have GGG kit russian clone already and that has already made me give up the pickle pie, so I got lots of things up in the air pedal wise too
