Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

I put schallers on all my basses, and on all the straps I have. Best strap lock system out there IMO. The dunlops are cool, but if that retention spring fails, your bass is taking a dive.

I dont smoke, nothing against it, just isnt for me. I drink 1-2 energy drinks a day (easy to do when a case is $250) and drink a couple gallons of Scotch a year.

Beer on weekends majority of the time in social settings never alone (I fall straight asleep). Chopping down Trees is on pause, but that's my only real vice. Cannot Stand energy drinks, one cup of black coffee makes me jittery if I want it to, no sense in flooding my system with excess sugar, caffeine etc.
Aside from a two methods of tobacco use, I find it makes me physically ill and tastes bad. So it's largely ignored too.

Psychedelic experiences are awesome, but only once in a while, By no means a daily/weekly/monthly thing.

DOD 250 is a awesome pedal. I sold more be cause I got burried on the mix with it so I sold it.

Could you shed some more light on that?
I like my B3K, but I'm not 100% satisfied and I thought I'd venture some more into overdrives.

Also, I think my DBA Fuzz War is going to go. I get buried in the mix with one guitarist. Maybe I should go for something non-muffy.

Sorry for my broken English only one eye open. Saying that it didn't work for me doesn't mean it won't work for other people. My friend ran a late 70's JMP with a rat so tons of mids. With the Dod having good mids they just canceled each other out and kinda sounded like mush. But for how cheap they are i would say try it out. With a ric it sounded just like the tone from sonic Titan.

how do you guys do your guitar straps? straplocks? grolsch beer seals? screw it directly onto the guitar with a washer?

I live life dangerously, no straplocks of any sort. But only because I only have one strap, so I rotate that through all my basses. When I pick up another, I'll use the figurative ton of grolsch caps I have for home brewing to secure them.
