In the 70s and super swampy in ol Virginny. Thunderstormed like a fiend yesterday, sounded bad ass. Just watched The Trailer Park Boys Christmas Special after downing some Christmas Kava.

No gear or doom related stuff in my presents, but lots of good beer and home made wine, Star Wars were OK, apart from that, family and booze. Yup, Polish Christmas FTW

Saw the Star Wars.
Very rehashed plot, a lot more comedy than I expected. Some other gripes, but still better than the other new ones. that one evil guy is a total dillweed, that's as spoiler as I'll get.
Also, my cousin came from Malaysia and has assburgers. He's never experienced Christmas before and doesn't understand Santa, so when he woke up he saw a stocking with his name and got all excited he received a giant sock in the night. So literal and funny cute.

Did some tone henging tonight and blaaaaagh...Im not happy. It was a bad ear night, Im really missing the MACE or something, cause I just couldnt get the sound in my head. I found it for the new full band but still on the never ending quest for GH...
I kinda feel like all my SS run out of headroom too quick for downtuned fuz zed out low end. Like I really need a big ol tube amp for that headroom. Its got me thinking of ditching the newer of the 2 vulcans, seeing if some one will trade me an SVT or a big Tube PVY or something like that...

Well I posted a trade bait on the Facederp...and have 2 potential offers
Either a custom cab build from Mauler cabs...possibilities are endless here shipping will be expensive unless i can somehow pick it up cheaply.
Or 2 tube amps...a broken VTA 400 (200watts) and an old 200 watt Fender Studio Bass (was a combo, now is a head) but I pay shipping for one of the 2 heads coming my way.
I dont know which to take or at all...what you guys think.

honestly none of those are a straight trade to your vulcan.
If the end goal is headroom and volume then you should hold out for 300W or higher. I'd hate to see you trade away a vulcan only to end up with a tube head that also doesn't have enough headroom. If you can get 5 bills for a vulcan then you're just a couple hundred away from a used SVT CL or 2pro.
The other option is to look for a power amp and use one or many of your heads as a preamp. You may be limited by your cabs power handling though.
Power amp is probably the cheapest option. Not sure how your 3620 would fare though.

Exactly. It has a certain niche value. To some a Vulcan is equal to an old SVT or matamp or custom Dunwich. To some its still a poopy SS peavey that should be no more than $200. Thats what makes this tough. And Im a little bit leary about the 2 amps value aswell, but theyre both decently rare...one of them is PVY still, although broken, it is a Festival series that will easily be worth something in the KVLT maybe not Vulcan worth but damn close...and the other is good trade bait to a certain niche aswell, its a 200 watt bassman with a 5 band rotary EQ, who wouldnt like that.
My cabs defo cant handle a modern power amp with 1000s of watts. And a vulcan just sold last month for $800 bucks so at that point $1000 isnt out of the question. So I could easily get an svt for that scratch. But like I said its a niche value. Who knows how long id wait for a SVT. And tube watts is always double SS. Both amps although, 200 watts, are actual bass amps that push a lot more bass than my MACE inherently.
I still dont know...custom cab, 2 200 watt amps, or hold out for a SVT that may never come.
