mc_muench plz stahp :(

EDIT: What are our thoughts? Invalid Link Removed 150 watts seems pretty low for a SS head, no?

I mean I would never pay that much for one of those particular models, pretty basic but effective with that EQ, not the coolest looking IMO, looks matter dammit. But I don't k ow the rarity of Peaveys over there. So if its slim pickins it would work alright.

What is the general S/D feeling towards the VT Bass DI? I'm considering flipping my BDPG and picking one up, all the tones I dig seem to be SVT but I lack funds for that kind of gear.

This post was brought to you by Unsane - Visqueen

Not tried the DI version, but I have a VT Bass v2 and I love it.

Noticed you're in Scotland too, so you probably have the same problems I have with shared backlikes, a DI before the amp, and pedals sounding crap through the PA ;)

Ha! Yeah, absolutely! I bought an Orange Terror Bass amp and hardly ever get to use it, always seem to be using someone else's amp, thinking VT Bass might be good for that...

Yeh, helps a lot. I still bring a head to gigs (Peavey Tour 450) but it's just set to a flat EQ unless someone else is using it!

There's an Orange version of the VT Bass which is usable with bass, but it might cut your lows a little - the example "Bass" setting from Tech-21 has the bas knob maxed out. Might be worth a try if you're keen on the Orange sound though.

It's the Ampeg sound that has inspired all this so would probably get the VT, sometimes I regret not going for the PF500 over the TB. Got the option of running the VT into the effects loop on the TB too, keep the pre-amp for "guests" ;)

I had one for a bit. I didn't need the extra features over the version 2. Always preferred the blend 100%wet and bite switch off. Would try the v2 one day but I'm not really in love with its basic flavor.
The Character knob was really cool I just felt like it's dirt was really generic and not touch sensitive enough for me.
Even into my IOD it just made the tone kinda lifeless and McD. Much preferred the Rusty Box for its very lively response and good flavor on its dirt.
Both needed more dirt into them but make for decent "clean" tone. (I don't like completely clean tone I need some mild overdrive and compression)

Gave up on the apps completely. Inconsistent support tired of fighting it. Plus when my carrier starts throttling my bandwidth unusable. Just using the page now. Works OK on Chrome for Android.

Glad i don't have to deal with throttling. For a no contract, 35 bucks a month pay as you go plan with unlimited data, unlimited texts and a few hundred minutes, virgin mobile has been pretty awesome.

I keep hearing about problems with data use and other crap from friends with expensive phones and contracts - haven't really had any of those issues.

I did have to buy my phone, but that was only $80...
