Nah, where I work if that was the case I'd be rushed home or to the dcotors ASAP. Can't risk any potential case of gastro in an aged care facilitity - even if its the office workers who get it.
Nah, I just float around and get the occasional request from colleagues. Otherwise I get to sit in my office, sign paperwork and trawl the internet for most of the day haha.

That sounds pretty reasonable. I've been thinking of just recording guitars and bass all myself on the next 5th Child (my much less active doom band that isn't Catapult the Dead), whenever I get around to writing lyrics. It'll be in a bit, though.
And are all standing around, sagely nodding and commenting on the dangers of really great Mexican food.
That was my starfish, and I do believe it was a victim of some high-octane Mexican food-like products.

so, I pulled out my standard scale P/J bass for grins the other day, and did a side by side comparo with my SS P bass.
I found the tone from the P/J was more full, deeper and generally more pleasing to my ear. I had the amp set the same way for each bass, just popped the cord out of one and into the other.
You will recall my gimp-assed left shoulder was forcing me to go with the SS P, due to the reach of the 34" scale. So, I thought to myself, if I drop the level of the bass down it would shorten the actual length of the reach. Neck dive on the bass has been pretty severe as well, so out came the drill and screwdriver, and in a frenzy of modding, I relocated the rear strap button to about mid-ships on the back of the bass. Neck dive has been reduced dramatically, and the bass sits lower on my body with the neck at a nice playing angle. Jammed with it for a little while, and it really seem to have helped reduce the amount of pain in the shoulder.
I may even move the strap button a little more towards the middle of the bass to eliminate the neck dive completely.
Now all I have to do is avoid the CTS in my left hand, LOL.

Anyone have experience with both the Fuzzrocious Demon and the Joyo Ultimate Drive?
I use two UDs just now, one for low-medium gain and one for high gain. I'm tempted to switch to a Demon with a second gain setting because
a) less hassle switching between dirt settings
b) I notice a tiny bit of low-end loss on the lower gain settings
c) more pedalboard space
b) shiny thing make it all better
Is it worth it, or should I just stick with what I have?

Not used the Joyo but used to have a Demon King and loved it. Flipped it after hearing how good it was on guitar, guitarist got one and I decided to try something else. I dig having the second distortion setting on my Rat Tail too - all about the space saving, yo.

Just give her the old standby: "I'm going to try this one out, and if I like it I'm going to sell that one over there to pay for this one. If I don't like it I can always flip it for what I paid."
Anytime I mention any new gear, the first thing my wife asks now is: "Can you flip it for what you paid?"
I got those two Hardwire pedals in the other day and the ol lady said but I thought you were putting away money for vacation this fall. But babe I just sold my Octron for good cash and I already have my cash saved for the trip plus I will probably flip these anyway. But I blew my argument yesterday when I saw that Joyo Ultimate Drive on the classifieds that the guy customized and now that is on the way to me, and of course I will be buying some other octave pedal(s) lol." Normally I wouldn't spend $40 on an album, but intead of selling some records that I really don't listen to I saw this at the store and traded for it. Double LP, 180 gram. Totally worth it.

Who's going to be the rhythm section?
Welp, my gig tonight probably couldn't have gone any worse. Guitarist/vocalist breaks both his bottom E and A strings half way into the first song. I tell him to just pull out his backup but he tells me he didn't bring it. So what does he do? Proceeds to restring his guitar on stage. In an attempt to make the situation less awkward, the drummer and I locked into a nice filler groove with the use of my flanger. Tell you what, I was considering offloading the BF-3 these last few days but now its pretty much earned permanency on my board haha.
So the guitarist decides "I'm taking too long here" and just flat out leaves out the A string and doesn't bother to tune up the E string properly. As you can imagine, that made for some absolutely laughable riffing and chords. We crank into the next song and, lo and behold, the singer decides to scream every line for absolutely no legitimate reason. That and any actually sung lines were so off and so terrible, I literally had to look away from the audience out of embarrassment. He then belts out this horrid broken scream at the end of a mellower song which made me, and I'm sure many others, wince. After that song ended I actually heard a woman in the crowd say "Wow, even HE's shocked by it" presumably making reference to me.
To add insult to injury, the sound guy tells us over the monitors that we have one more song to play. At this point, we had only played three songs and been on stage for a total of 20 minutes of our 30 minute slot. Any other gig I would have cracked the ***** but considering the circumstances, I was thrilled to be getting off the stage that soon. We finished our set and I tore down my gear the fastest I ever have.
My only consolation about tonight is that I was able to do a little improv which I never thought I was able to pull off. It sounded good, I locked in with the drummer brilliantly and we even got some kind words for it after our set. A couple of members from the other bands came up to us and said things like "Nice save" and asked me about my effects. Of course, one of them asked "So what's up with your singer? He on something?" to which I replied "Unfortunately, no. That's just him".
So yeah..bit of a wall of text but I just felt like venting a little. What cuts me the most is that I know the vocalist/guitarist isn't going to take anything away from this experience and he's just gonna keep shaging things up because apparently not giving a shag makes him look cool. There's no hope for him and unfortunately I've learned that far too late. I don't particularly like being on the end of a joke (which is what I feel manly people look at this band as) and I fear this crap is gonna hurt my reputation personally, which I normally wouldn't admit to caring about but if I want to take my music seriously then I suppose I need some sort of dignity). I'm gonna put myself out there to join a new band that I'd enjoy playing for. Once that's locked in, I'm ditching old mate's band for the better.
