Awesome.
It is also on spotify. Listening now. Beautiful!Oh man, it sounds so good.
The old tracks definitely sounded better in crappy versions.just doesn't sound like sleep without the crappy production
One of the reasons I kinda hate tone knobs on fuzzes is that I really like the chainsaw sound of the mids and highs towards higher tone settings, but on most fuzz pedals that cuts out way too much low end.
so far the sleep album is very underwhelming and boring. maybe it will grow on me but it sounds like they just slapped it together to cash in on their new found popularity. nothing wrong with that. good for them.
I'm on the fence about Sonic Titan and Antarticans Thawed too. Great tunes, and they both deserved to be properly recorded, but yeah those 2 make up half the album. Add in the 3 minutes of intro and the (very cool) jammy outro (The Botanist) and theres not a lot they had to write new for this 'new' album. That all said, I really really like it.Yeah, I love the 2 original songs with vocals but its a shame that almost half of the album is taken up by previous live tracks. That said I like it a lot.

Exactly. I don't want all my pedals to have EQs. I have an EQ on my amp already.I use a BYOC Large Beaver I built, it a rotary knob to select EQ mode - Scoop (EH stock), Flat, Mid-bump, or OFF. OFF is the only setting. Everything else sounds so dim and limp in comparison. OFF is huge. You literally get ALL the tone. Highs, mids, thundering lows. Yeah, i am definitely strongly in favor of minimizing the # of EQ controls in your signal chain. The amp always has an EQ section. How many more EQs do you need upstream? Sure, many overdrives get their character by trimming or boosting certain frequencies and that's fine. But I don't see a need for any more EQ between the final dirt generator and the amp.
I completely disagree. I was very worried it wouldn't have those two. So I'm very happy that it does have them. It annoys the crap out of me when bands write songs but for whatever reason skip actually ever recording them and so there are only ever live versions.Yeah, I love the 2 original songs with vocals but its a shame that almost half of the album is taken up by previous live tracks.
