Yeah, with the case, that price is a bit of a steal. Wish I was going to SoCal sometime soon.
It is one of the few P basses I've seen where I really wanted it. The mate finish with the Black\red PG is pretty sweet. I had to re-examine my stable and decided that I'm getting the least use out of this one.
Well, if you can't get anyone to grab it locally, let me know. I have an anniversary coming up.

Bought a guitar pickup online, and not sure if it’s working. Any way to test it out? I swapped the other pup, and it works, but I’m not sure if the pup is bad or if the switch is bad. It all worked a few hours ago with the old pups! The one that works works fine on both sides of the switch, so I’m leaning towards pup. Any ways to test quickly?
Does it work on either side of the switch? It's not clear if the new one works at all or only in one spot.
Did some more testing - they both work on one side of the switch only. So that means bad switch, right? Which is odd because it worked jus fine before the swap.
Could indicate a bad switch or bad pot/ connections on that side of the switch. I'd try tracing down connectivity first as it's unlikely that a component spontaneously died, but moving stuff around can easily break a weak solder joint.
Boss Wazacraft HM2 incoming.
This is from today with the HM2 jsut sitting on the table, this is from two weeks ago.
I've been using my clone HM2 now for maybe six months and I love it, and I keep looking at the dead solider sitting in my garage on a bench wondering if I should fix it, but with this thing inbound why not just do the deed for real... plus there'll be a glut of "zomgoggles, this isn't as good as the original!" flips filling the assifieds within a couple weeks of release, anyways.

Just got an old Taiwan made one a week ago. Tested it today with my J. I think I've got a new favorite distortion.
Apparently the switch spontaneously died. Got it tested at a “real” tech’s bench today, fixed it right up. Sounds killer now! And in to tweaking drives etc. for a while!
I know, right? It would happen right then to make diagnosing any issues with my wiring nearly in-diagnosable. I was wondering if I screwed it up or if something broke! Thankfully, I insisted the tech check my pickups more in-depth. He was convinced that the pickup was dead until I told him that when I rewired them to the switch both pickups worked when connected to one lug, and neither worked in the other lug. He then checked the switch, found it faulty, and replaced it. Works perfectly now! And I love my new pickups! Good thing I know enough to troubleshoot and can tell the techs what I learned!Whaaaaat?!?!?! Of course it did that just to make me look the fool

I dunno if anyone else has had any dealings with Atlas Cabs. I haven't bought anything (yet) from them, but Petras there is a great guy. I emailed him about their 4x15 and he answered all my questions super quickly. I've heard nothing but good things about the cabs. Just wanted to share in case anyone else was considering a new cab.
I actually was looking at the 6x12 and the 4x15 and he suggested the 4x15 was closer to what I was looking for. Super honest thing to do as the 6x12 is more expensive. Impressed me right away.
