Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

Beer, weed, tunes and the soft glow of tubes....almost the weekend.

Roasting a hotdog over it?

What Thursdays tunes?

I have moved away from 90 degree bends in the past 6 months. Some are still close to 90 degree hard bends but a lot of it is curved instead.

Dunwich is slowly transitioning to non-Euclidian geometry. No one will be able to look at anything directly for an extended period of time, without losing their mind.

Well fellas here it is, my first pedal demo:

First is clean, then treble and gain at noon with mid boost off, then same settings with mid boost on, then treble at noon, gain at 3:00 with mid boost off, then same settings with mid boost on. I usually use it at the last setting.

Excuse the fret buzz and poor technique, it was late and beers were consumed. :D

This was just a quick and dirty recording to make sure everything worked, if there's anything specific that you guys want to hear let me know. I'll work on a list of my pedals and post it in a bit if anyone is interested.

Cool man, get into it! I can't make any demos right now, still waiting for cables to show up before I can use any of my new stuff. I miss my interface, even my headphones straight into the jack on the iMac doesn't sound as good.

I saw that earlier on FB. I want one, immediately. I don't care what anyone else on this thread or anywhere else says, I love the sound of Hammond organ and a Leslie. I used to own the real thing, then a Roland sound-a-like keyboard. Now I just have my soft synths and midi controller and don't use it very much, but I love that sound mixed into the right songs.

Any of you all using Joyo Ultimate Drives like it better before fuzz than after fuzz. I was pushing my Bluebeard into it and meh, not so much.

I run mine first. I've got some really good results running it into my Pickle Pie B and using the clean blend as a way to blend the fuzz subtly into the overdrive.

Can you tell me differences in the última and daddy-o on bass, guitar too if you know. And I put my daddy-o before the fabtone, preference over the opposite as well. The fabtone has great low end so If I'm using it I don't want to lose it.
To me the Daddy O is more transparent and seems to be capable of even higher gain than the Ultimate Drive. The UD has a dark and a wee bit of rasp to me.
