Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

Was chilling and punching cones with a local stoner rock band at the rehearsal studio last night. Go by the name Arrowhead. Really top blokes and they pump out some seriously good tunes.

Turns out they're supporting Monster Magnet tonight in Sydney. Didn't even know Monster Magnet were even in the country. Gonna pop in and show both bands some love.

Here's some of Arrowhead's tunes. Solid stuff. http://arrowheadrock.bandcamp.com/

Cool band.

Just helped a woodworking friend fix his alternator in the pouring rain. Fingers not working, cold and wet to the bone. I need a hot shower and a beer. I now know I will never get a road service mechanic job. Told him instead of cash, help me build a oversized 1x15 cab for home.

Ugh, this day is lost. Had people over at mi casa last night and 7 of us ran through 8.5 bottles of wine. I think I may have been over-served, given the bog I've been mired today.

Hey fellas, I'm back in the country after the wedding and a week in Portugal. It was a blast but I'm glad to be home.

Any historical sight seeing or just beach/resort relaxing stuff?

That's some questionable testing material with those headphones Nick....

But seriously the headphones look amazing.

Kevin's a big fan. Spun that record to test it out after I left.

Nick I saw the photo on FB. What exactly did you do?

We removed the old cups (back of the speaker chamber) and replaced it with a larger aluminum one that Kevin machined. We put in 1/8" jacks on the cups instead of having the cable hardwired to the speakers. Thus we made the headphone cable detachable and had to add some 1/8" jack ends on the cable to plug into the headphones. Assemble it all back together and boom its golden.

It looks top notch, just like all your builds.

I saw the pic you posted of those on FB Nick, came out looking pretty slick.

Barely had any time to peek in here this weekend. Just about to meet with some midwives, with my fullonwife.

Midwives are fun. We had a doula. She would have been our midwife for the home birth but the Mrs went into labor a month and one day early. Which was legally one day too soon to do the home birth. If it's cool in your state do the home birth. Wish we could have.
