on my acoustics i've been alternating between DADGAD style and open tuning like CGCGCEb (open Cm). i managed to get my 12 string to hold GCGCGC which is super cool sounding and really easy to navigate.

Being the self proclaimed foremost expert on early SS Peaveys, Tuxedo face Peaveys are what im calling the 1st gen SS Peaveys, with the screen printed aluminium faces as opposed to raised raised plastic face like your 400 has.

My PA200, Vulcan, and 300 Musician are Tuxedo faces. They look classy as fvck...so Tuxedo. Im trying to sell the 400, no knobs for $70 as its the outcast being non tuxedo.

I forgot to mention my guitarist found a Standard 260 for $60 and he bought to give to me, since I gave him mine. Not a Tuxedo but I can let that slide as its the one that started it all, and itll be my home PVY, tuxedos will stay all together at the space. Its uber scratchy so not really usable right now, but Bear can fix that eventually.

Carvin is pretty awesome stuff. Ox from back in my early TB days, reviewed the B1500 against Aguilar and a few other well to do brands. His review pretty much made me a believer. Carvin does have QC issues with early product lines. They also have killer service. For some, shipping an amp to CA for repair will eliminate Carvin as an option.

You guys might be better to wade the waters of TB on current Carvin offerings. Many more people out there can comment on pros and cons.

It might ok at full power on the clean channel, but the tone in general just didn't really wow me. Considering I can readily compare it to my Traynor, which is less wattage and has less tone controls and instantly wows me, I just trust my taste and my ears. Some people have really specific tastes and like amps and tones I don't dig though. I will say it's one of my favorite guitar amps to run pedals into.

Read up on the QC issues on TB...seems the issues with the B2000 were at least 3-4 year old. I figured they'd get that poopie done by now. ;)

learning to play some guitar to old Protest the Hero records (aw yeah, tapping and sweeping time again). has anyone used stainless strings on their guitars before? nickel allergy is giving me rashy hands on the standard d'addarios, which is not only irritating but fairly unattractive, haha. are they noticeably brighter? i guess that's what a tone knob is for though.

I'm still testing and trying different things at the moment. It's gonna be real cool, I think but I gotta get all my ducks in a row on these new cabs. Trying to make a bunch in advance so folks don't have to wait forever on me to build em :)

Speaking of pedals, I have the Eno RAT clone and Joyo British times into each other. The British is not taking off my Behringer Sansamp clone as someone was able to do in the Joyo thread, but it might replace the UD. The Rat is going to end up being the booster in this chain. The British sounds pretty good as standalone dirt.

Also, guitar player got an aluminum neck Kramer a couple weeks ago. We haven't had a chance to really EQ together at practice with it yet, he just broke his ankle and missed practice last week. So, my pedal tastes may change as soon as we go band mix. I would recommend Joyo stuff. They surpass my expectations for this price point.

Speaking of marriage I heard a saying I never heard before that is probably an old saying I missed:
Marriage is the leading cause of divorce, Bwah Ha Ha. Funny even if I do dig my ol' lady, I'm not married though.
Max probably best to wait more than a few months to get married LOL. Boots are cool but I am sucker for gals rocking summer dresses, deep V up top for two pickets to Tittsburgh and plenty of leg.

Most recent I have read about, the B500 had issues that were sorted eventually. And Carvin is great at taking care of issues. I wouldn't personally buy a, just came out yesterday, brand new design. I'd give it a few years and maybe buy a used one that went in for "the fix". Because then you know what issues there were. And you know Carvin has looked it over again to correct issues. Of course, I don't have amp money right now, but man, I do want a B1500 one day.

You ever buy a pedal to try out that is high end but little known then don't care for it. Then it is hard to move, and you really want to try something else. I so need pedal patience. Man people sure like to either fix pedals or strip parts off of them. I was able to sell both of those bloody dog puke destroyed Heardush delays on ebay. Helped offset some of the money I spent on them.

laz.. im surprised you find anything made by Orange to be "honky". Ive always thought of them as having "just enough mids" at most, but never too much. Makes me wonder about the voicing on your EGC that perhaps it puts out ALOT of mids compared to other basses... (just thinking out loud)
