I bought a Gorm shelf from IKEA to do a cheap-o DIY pedal board, but it's quite a bit bigger than I actually need. Probably going to 'shelve' the project until I actually need a bigger board. Or maybe I'll just cut the shelf down to size.
I started working on a new CL ad for putting together a doom project. It's been 4 months since I last tried, so I'm going to go with a more specific and focused ad this time. Last time I went the "bass player looking, here are a few projects I'd be interested in" route. This time I'm going to specifically call out the exact project I want to put together and see if that gets me any leads.
Do you guys have any suggestions or edits for this text?

TITLE: Bassist seeks others for droning doom metal band
BODY:
Want to create droning doom metal that is slow and relentless, like the tide coming in? Does the idea of crushing people at 60 BPM (or slower!) put a grin on your face? Do you love the sound of fuzzed out pentatonic/natural minor riffs?
I'm looking for a drummer and guitarist to make music that could be the soundtrack to a paleolithic spaghetti western. Think tone worship.
Here's a few samples of the kind of music inspiring this project:
Sleep - Dopesmoker http://youtu.be/24pOo5htg9E
Conan - Golden Axe http://youtu.be/c8a-y1_kzCo
Bongripper - Satan http://youtu.be/UsbZ35YSAUA
I'm a 31 year old bass player with transportation and gear (although I'll need a new, bigger cabinet for gigging this type of material). I live in East Lansing and am available for practice 1 or 2 times a week (week nights and weekend days; willing to drive up to 30 minutes or so away). I would like to gig one to a few weekends a month (local/regional or long weekend touring only... I've got a full-time job and no illusions about doing much more than breaking even on money in the best case scenario). This ain't commercial music.
I drink a bit, but don't smoke. I don't rarely care what you do as long as the music is crushing and the hang is there.
