Yes, pretty much all of the D-800+ preamp.

Caveat, I have only played the Subway+ DI through studio monitors and my D800+ through bass cabs, but I would say the DI absolutely captures it. I think I like the bass control better on the DI, it seems a bit punchier than the 800+, but it might just be that I am playing through studio monitors. Other than that, IMO the boost control is the major difference, and it adds a somewhat subtle but still very significant flavor to the tone if you want it. I always loved the low end heft of the 800+ using the deep switch and the HPF, and the DI brings it.

I am still “cheaping out” on this. As I didn't have the scrilla to get a D800+. So I am going with this pedal instead to capture and pump some of that D800+ vibe through my WD800

Set the damping on high, use effects return, and you'll essentially have a D-800++ (admittedly not a catchy name for a product).

Coming from non pedal guy how inconvenient is it to have efx pedals/pre on floor?

With one band I was with we went Stage ampless just monitors then eventually IEM

I used Line 6 Bass Pod they had a kit were you could mount bass pod on Mic Stand made things a lot easier

Anything like that around or better?

Back to the “O” Rings for the MKII pedal.

Since I have an abundance of “O” Rings from my Amazon order, I’m making up kits that will include the 11 “O” Rings and a 2mm hex key. I’m selling them at cost so I don’t keep bunch of stuff laying around that I will never use.

$2 per set delivered in a bubble-wrap envelope. You’ll spend at least that much in gas to pick some up.

I just set mine on my amp or on the cab when using a rig, it's pretty compact. I guess it would work on the floor if your are going ampless, but I always find something off to teh side of the stage area to set it on.

The old Atlas (heavy round iron plate base) mic stands would probably be okay for mounting a shelf, but these new tripod deals don't seem as sturdy to me when you have an instrument and cable connected that will move around a lot.

I would be comfortable with pedal in loop on top of Amp/Cab but not with Bass cord plugged into it also vibration movement: Floor/Pedalboard would seem less susceptible to gravity

I should add that I run cables through cab handles and rack handles any time I can. The newer light weight gear is more susceptible to proving Isaac Newton absolutely nailed that whole gravity thing.

Managed to get the Mesa added to the board. With the Attitude bass, the woofer PU feeds the Empress into the Mesa for cleans, the P feeds the Bassrig15 for dirtier tones, they get combined and then fed to the Doc Lloyd which has a beautiful balanced out. There is a Lehle P split under the board so I can run the same chain with single output basses. Works extremely well with either. Everything is playing very well together, only thing I noticed is that the Deep switch on the Subway seems to invert the phase, but there are tons of options to sculpt the low so it isn’t an issue.

I have a few of these left if you’re interested. They won’t scratch the finish like “wavy” (Belleville) washers.

I was imagining similar, ending a mono chain at a Becos Yuna with DITOS

Presently feeding into an LBA 2020S into a Unit67 (jfet boost, 1176 comp) adds some tasty saturation and grit before hitting some digital effects.

The new DI-Preamp works OUTSTANDINGLY WELL into my digital effects.

Curious about how the filters may affect phase.

I got one, received yesterday and was able to get a good practice in. Used it tonight at a function at church. I give it a big Easy to dial up a really good sound, and some good variation available. Definitely a keeper.
