I hear a lot of good things about the Rumble. I’ll have to see if anywhere near me has both. I’d also like to know if the Rumble Stage is worth the extra price tag.

I was just writing a description of the difference between most bass amps and the Rumble Stage (and Studio) amps just a few minutes ago!
I dearly love both my Rumble 500 combo (about same cost as Orange 100, BTW) and my Rumble Studio 40 (little brother to the Stage 800 with all same modeling features), but they are way, way, way different devices!
Browse the Stage & Studio manual (PDF) before setting your sights on one of these animals. THEN, if you're still interested, YES! they are very much worth the extra coin.

I absolutely love my Phil Jones Double Four, but it may not be what you are looking for.

I currently use an Ibanez Promethean P3310, but I am not entirely satisfied when I play with my Jazz bass. I am thinking of buying a new combo like the Fender Rumble 500 for home practice, rehearsals and future gigs. Would this amp be a good upgrade? Any other suggestions?

Yes, R500. Might be able to get one used…but folks like ‘em and do not sell them a lot.

Of course, I agree that the Rumble 500 combo would be a very considerable upgrade from the Promethean, especially if you already like the Rumble V2 sound. Of course the V3 has some different voicings from the V2, but most Rumblers like them.
I've loved every minute with my R500c for nearly 8 years now! Though mine's not for sale, there are occasionally some available for a discounted price. Just be sure they are still fully functional! Here's also a collection of Rumble V3 Reviews, with several recent "Best Amp" articles, as well.
Feel free to ask any Rumble questions in the Fender Rumble Club, too.

All I know is I had narrowed my choices down to 3 combos. I went into GC to try them. They didn't have two of them, but had the Rumble 100 (all the larger Rumbles are voiced as similarly as Fender can make them). They had one on sale (a trade-in), so I bought that, knowing I could take it back if I wasn't happy. That was 2-3 years ago and it's still here. 8^)

GK MB-212 II is tempting, but maybe too expensive for the budget I have.
I don’t know if this is useful but I live in Europe, I like to play a bit of everything both modern and vintage sounds. I hope this makes sense.

Just picked up this Hartke 1155 carcass, sans MOSFET 3500 head, 5" compression driver and crossover. Working on the driver and crossover... There's a rattle I have to find, I think it's a loose port tube. But the original 15 is still working, and with the Eden WT405 in the slot it sounds pretty great! Hi-fi-like, nice and strong, good sounds. A solid sounding gig rig, and I can add a cab I have here when needed.
I'm trying to get help from Samsontech/Hartke for driver and x-over info, but it's really a simple problem. What I need most is to get a good crossover point and set it up.
More when I get stuff done...
