To clarify: I don't use any amp that much any more. At the time I bought the R40, the B25 was 'acting up' and I needed a small(size wise)amp. Some of our previous venues were quite tight and every inch mattered. I don't regret getting the 40. As a matter of fact, I'll be using it-and a SS bass-Saturday night on our gig*, again due to lack of room. It's very handy to have a smallish amp, but I wouldn't buy a small amp just for practice. I'd turn a bigger amp down. I'm fortunate to have plenty of room in my house and no one to bit...., er, complain about stuff, musical or otherwise, laying about.

*assuming it doesn't get 86'ed.

Currently using the Rumble 40 in combination with an Acoustic B100 15" with the signal split via a Line6 Pod Go and getting the boom from the 15" and the shaka from the 10" is great (bonus- I've EQ'd each for what I need out of the respective combo).

I've been(sometimes)using a EHX Micro POG. I recently tried using it split with the effects(octave up)signal going to my R40, and the 'clean' signal to the R100-or 200c, amps EQed differently. Makes the effect a lot more noticeable. Also means schlepping 2 amps to a gig so I prolly won't do it very much. Maybe for this Sunday's gig. Maybe....Or not.

I have used my Rumble Studio 40 almost exclusively the last 1-1/2 years. That's 'cause my loud country band went on hiatus, relieving my Rumble 500 combo. I have a Bassman 150 combo and a Bassman 250 combo, but they fell out of favor with the arrival of the more lightweight, more powerful R500c 6-1/2 years ago because they are too heavy (and were also replaced by a lightweight BM500 w/115 neo). I also have a foxy li'l Vox(y) VX50BA that was my exclusive (due to back surgery) for about 6 months and weighs half what the RS40 does. But the Vox doesn't have anywhere near the variety of tones and features of the Rumble Studio 40 and could not hold off my G.A.S for the Studio! :woot: Yet the Vox is not "extra", either.

I'm happy as a clam at high tide with my stable of amps now. And, if more volume is needed, the R500c and/or BM500w115neo (for mono or STEREO) can give me all the reinforcement my RS40 needs!!! :smug:

I have two GK MB150E-112 amps, and one PJB Double Four. The D4 gets almost all the playing these days. It sounds better, and takes up 1/3 the space of the already tiny MicroBass combos.

The D4 just sounds sooo good with every bass I own. It's easily a more uniform tone, and highlights the differences of each bass.

My Rumble studio 40 stays home. My 500 combo and 112 cab camp out at the drummers basement! So I definitely use the little one. ;)

All right, everybody!
The Rig of Fury has morphed into its other formation.
As my early morning practices have kicked up, I realized I needed to give the cube a more permanent residence in the Boa Kai:

which means that I needed another amp for my “Loud Practice” area in the living room with the stereo. One of the BA115s works perfectly there:

I was going to crop my wife’s knitting out of the shot, but I wanted to preserve the real life grittiness of how it goes down in the Team H living room.
Don’t worry, you can see one of the Dinos went with it:

Meanwhile, back in the den-or Team H Family jam room-you can see one of the amps and one of the Dinos have remained in place:

If they could just do something small like if they could figure out how to battery power something the size of the BA108...even if it had to weigh like 25-30 pounds and took something like C or D batteries, I’d do it.
The battery power feature is the only thing that keeps that Cube in the running.
Im honestly surprised there’s not a battery powered Rumble yet.
