The Combo Club

Agreed!
Holy crap @nuage420b she made that rug?!

I wonder if there’s a post in a crocheting forum somewhere with pictures of your amp...
It's a blanket she is making as a wedding gift for her sister. started it about 13 months ago. almost finished, has a faux wolf fur backing that needs attached. It's insanely big and heavy.

It's crocheting technically, and I'll let her know! honestly her work is amazing. I watch her go and still can't wrap my brain around how she does it. View attachment 4074849

My crocheting (not crochety) wife was agog at how beautiful and intricate it is. "That's an heirloom."

Indeed; it's gorgeous! If she has a hankering to do another, I'm happy to send our address. 8^)

To be perfectly dishonest those lines were supposed to be straight but my extremely loud playing kept her hand from keeping steady!

Stopping by before bed to say hi and tell you I now behind five pages! Skimming through, it looks as if there are the usual interesting comments, great pictures, and a tad of seasonal wackiness. Cheers!

Just left a post where someone bought a new Peavey Max 250 combo and I offered our club as a new hangout. I mentioned we have little to no Peavey and it would be a welcome addition to our ranks. I'm still intrigued by their 208 but can't get past those fudged wattage numbers. Still, I'd like to read what someone who owns one thinks of it.

Goodnight, all. I've been correcting work all week as we're wrapping up social studies. Hopefully, I'll be on to make hilarious comments soon. Take care and keep the combo-loving posts a-coming!

Called my wife over to take a look. "Wow, that is amazing!" From my 'nittin' wife to yours.
Ummm...so do I say “you know the rules: no pics no...crochet???”
Why do I suspect your bass gear takes up more space than that? 8^)
I think you’re onto something here, sir!
Hey...let's keep this thread on topic! Could she crochet a cover for the Ampeg combos? ;):cool:
For now, we're keeping the topic on threads.:smug:
Keep spinning these funny yarns...you've got me in stitches...:help::wacky:
Yes!!!
I love this flurry!
Mike,
That’s a good one!

So you’re a social studies teacher, eh?
Very cool!
I’m a Spanish teacher!

You’ve done me proud, CC!
I’ve had many laughs as I’m waking up.

Good morning, @swink ! :roflmao::roflmao::roflmao:

I've just purchased a pair of EBS Session 30 for my off-springs to use at home / church / uni as their first bass amp. I have to say I'm mightily impressed with it. It's got a DI out, which is important for their Church / On stage needs. The 2 band EQ seems to work well and the headphones socket is a nice inclusion for late nigh "don't disturb the neighbour" rehearsing. The physical size is important too....small and easily popped out of the way and easy to transport between uni and home. Sound wise, sure it's never going to fill a stadium and just about meets church stage volumes. However, I have to say that tonally, it's pretty much all there. It has a even nice tone. I can hear that slight EBS character in the amp, which is nice on the ears. The low B is a little quieter, so I think the 8" driver struggles a bit down there. That's quite common and who wants lots of low 31Hz fundamentals in the home? I've not got the low B to fart out yet, so all of the controls seem to be within the capabilities of the speaker. The the low E sounds pretty decent and solid. I have to say for a pokey little home combo...there's a lot to like about this amp. Way nicer than the Trace Elliot Boxer 65 the I used to play through at home.

You guys mind if I join your club? I've got a couple of combo amps...:)

Pics or it didn't happen, right? :smug:
