The Combo Club

I propose a moratorium on DOUBLE-number giving! :bored: o_O

Why come does The LizardKing gets 2 numbers?!? Huh? It's not fair. Yeah, sure, I love his work with The Doors, and all, but does that entitle him to be #165 and #265 both? Especially when Ray's left hand played most of his basslines for him so he could go coil & slither around the mic stand? I dunno.
Otherwise, I think we should all get 2 numbers and I hereby pre-order #357 to match my previous #57. Ooo! Ooo! Ooo! We can instantly double the membership by adding 100, 200 or 300 to all previous member numbers!! Hey, whaddaya say, Fearless Leader? You could retire instantly with over 500 members! :smug:
.

Yep, my mistake. This list is getting harder and harder to double check. So I’ve rescinded Lizzy’s #265 and hope that his baby can still light his fire.

As for the issuing individual numbers for each pictured combo...I’m listening.

Maybe we can give members with an Ampeg Portaflex 2 half membership numbers? 1/2 for the head and 1/2 for the cab. :smug: Or at least brand them by having Pf put after their number.:hyper::wacky:

You better back me up or you will find yourself in a position of grave responsibility quite soon. You realize you are being groomed for the throne, yes? Unless you actually have p*lit*cal aspirations, of course. ;)

My level of mental well-being does not allow me to accept a position with any responsibility, let alone grave responsibility.:wacky: The only form of government that can provide salvation is aristocratic anarchy with a pinch of despotism.
In other words if the FL gives up his position he will automatically be re-elected by the conflict in the anarchist regime which will archaically designate him as the new aristocratic despot. Problem solved.:hyper:

Aha! TATTOOS! Not only make them known to all, but test both their commitment and their mettle!

But, ... ... but, ... but, your choice of musical instrument already places you in a position of groove responsibility! :bassist:

Whoa, swinky-do! I fixed it for ya, this time. But, watch out for TB rules violations. ;)

I'm with you, though. I think Fearless Leader's benevolent dictatorship is already the best form of gov... er, uh, that is, ... "management" style. That, and his aristocratically anarchic "Command Central CABINET of DIGNITARIES" and his incisive "TRIBUNAL OF CONFLICTS", both strategically lauded on your Combo Club Wiki page just above the hallowed Garage Door section. Yey, verily art our Club's ... uh, "management" the work of a true despotic genius!

And does not such genius richly deserve a comfortable retirement in his golden years? A "schmackeroon parachute", if you will, of idyllic languishing and bass noodling. But, neigh, no "Olde Fearless Leaders Home" for him! Let it be the exalted position of Fearless Leader Emeritus, wherein his counsel occasionally be sought by the ruling puppet regime of flunkies... uh, ... Dignitaries and Tribunites, as befits his elevated station, status and ego.

Long Live Fearless Leader!

How Can You Say NO To Combos?

See? This guy gets it.

How can you be held responsible for a natural fact? The groove is omnipresent and I try to cling to it.:D

Spoken by someone who's obviously never hit a blooper, blunder, bomb, boo-boo, clam, dud, flop, flub, hiccup, mess up, screw up, slip up, ditched it, dogged it, tanked it, etc., etc., ad infinitude ... ... :rollno:

Happily, and productively, retired now ...

the old work week begins at 3 am to be out the door for a 4 am limo to the airport at 5 am for a 6 am flight. Here is where I take my coffee before I board

more home than home. It's my happy place.

so miss work? Unlikely. I'm the only one on site. If I don't do it, it won't get done. There is coffee, and more coffee.
While I'm away for a lifetime, waiting for me — literally under the bed — is my 1979 Stingray. That is the work I missed while I was busy working. So I missed a lot of days.
The 'Ray awaits new bits from EBMM so it can be played again
and hanging out here with two awesome short scales, some pretty crackin' amps
and
a full day for practice before Friday's video.
The 3am is a life killer. 4:30 am was my earliest schedule. Though I'd love to be capable of working locally on some nuclear project. Can't stand losing our nest egg to all these Dental bills, about $15,000 this year, $681mth medical insurance, $200/Mth drug copays. its like YIKES!!!!! Going to look into a Home Equity loan today.. So yes, I'd love to work again, part time, but AFIB, Heart Failure, Arthritis, pain and general fatigue have a way of keeping one out of the workplace at 69. OK, ill stop whining now:bawl::bawl::rollno:

@SoulReflection i think McDonald’s has forgotten who they are! Or maybe my retirement isn’t keeping up with the world!
I can get better food at Chipotle or Salsarita’s or Moes for that kind of money. Don’t get the pop! (Sorry soda for some of you ;)) that’s the killer!

And btw I was on a diet about 15 years ago and every Friday I would treat myself to Mickey Ds. (I lost 60lbs btw) and My diet was counting calories. So I started ordering Big Macs with no Mac Sauce. Saved like 150 calories lol. But I only eat it that way now when I rarely get a Big Mac. It taste better in my view without the Mac sauce.

My stomach just doesn’t want me to eat there these days I guess that’s one good thing about a bad stomach.
Big Macs give me severe abdominal pain... Very strange. Will have an occasional Mcdouble for $1.50. We make Organic burgers at home.

a note from our sponsors ...
My 'Ray is [plugged into my combo] back and "good as new". And in a literal sense as well, for it's wearing the same kind of strings came with new (Brite Flats). Sounds awesome through my BG-400.

Imagine if I had that Phil Jones combo back in 81, instead of my Peavey combo. Likely would have needed that amp under armed guard.
