The International Coffee Appreciation Thread

Thats really not more than I have on an average day. (And, Im in good health now for a 40 year old). I drink about a 10 oz cup when I first get up, shave, shower, etc. I take a travel mug full to work with me, (about 18 oz probably) and drink that when I get there. I usually hit McD's at around 10am for a large cup. After lunch, I'll get a 20oz at Circle K. I'll usually make a pot and drink 2-3 cups after I get home from work at 5. My mother probably drinks almost this much too. It must be hereditary. She's one of the healthiest 74 year olds you'll ever see.

Anyone tried Starbuck's Holiday Brew? I made some last night... It was superb.

We order coffee from the San Luis Obispo Coffee Company.. or something like that... They send us different samples along with out usual Columbian Roasted beans... its all good stuff.

Also, in response to everyone telling me that I drink WAY too much coffee. I do drink about 40 oz. of water per day (have 2 20 oz. bottles full every day at work). Although, this doesn't help with the bathroom problem that Brad Cook mentioned.

And honestly, if it really stunted my growth, would I want to be any taller?? Plus, I use to work with a guy who drank coffee for as long as I did and he was 6'11".

But, yeah, I'm pretty "hardcore" with me coffee. Don't even get me started on how much I like Tuesday mornings when I have a cup from my French Press. :D

I'll bet!!

I just drink a small cup of OJ, a 16oz mug of coffee and a bottle of water before 10 am every morning and that alone sends me to the bathroom about 5 times. Then again I have the bladder of an 8 year old girl...seriously...it was a transplant.

Yeah, my coworkers are always giving me crap.

"I'm gonna run to the bathroom really quick..."
"AGAIN? You just went 10 minutes ago!"

Now yer talkin! BUT, do they make 10 oz versions with either

a: the Krispy Kreme logo

or

b: My name on it followed by the definition and a cheesy poem devoted to my name?

And yeah, I don't mind that coffee is a diuretic, I like to take breaks from deskwork. :smug: If it's to pee, so be it. Better than the ADD I suffer at the hands of the idiot box I draw on every day. :D

I can see how that would be draining. It must really piss you off.
Now let me see...nope...not funny...wait!...nope, still not funny. ;)

That's just gross dude...I won't even drink coffee that's been on the burner for more than 30 minutes unless I'm desperate.
Well, if you make a pot of coffee, and live with a girl who doesn't drink coffee, it's kind of hard to chug through a whole pot in 30 mins. When I used to be an EMT in high school, I learned to drink coffee whenever, however. Cold, hot, scalding, didn't matter. Chug it down, you'll need the caffeine.

The coffee at the end of the day is fine for me. Maybe cause it's had a chance to "ferment." ;)

Not for nuthin, but isn't this how Ice Coffee is made? As long as the "old" coffe is packaged in such a way that it won't go "stale" or whatever, then you can enjoy some delicious iced beverage....

Are you referring to my picture? Well, I just put my plain PowerShot S40 on some note cards (you can see them reflecting white in the picture), used a big white piece of paper as a background and shot the picture. It was all done in a hurry cause I didn't want the coffee to get cold. Then I just tweaked it a little in Photoshop.
Yes, I was referring to your picture, it looks quite neat.
Compare it to a rendering of a water glass made by someone at Alias with Maya.
