The Spaceman Club

Thanks man.
Yeah, the Dark Glass Harmonic Booster is actually a clean preamp that I basically use as a eq boost, so that was why I was thinking the Saturn VI would act as my growl/agression when increasing the drive.

If I get a Saturn VI, I will try the DG HB in front of and behind the Saturn to see how differently that sounds
The Saturn VI is lovely. With a nominal input, you can achieve a nice, amp like, not too pungent overdrive. If you goose the input 20-30db it can get gnarly. I’ve found it stacks really well with other dirt, before or after. When run clean it ads that subtle sumthin sumthin.

Ok, so a quick first impression.
Bass - May Custom - Nordstrand Bigman pickup, with passive tone only. (Nordy preamp bypassed)
GK MB112-II combo, set to "GK flat", volume about 10:00

Initial Target - The Camera Eye.
Result - Damn son.
Definitely the most touch sensitive drive pedal I've had.
From C on the A-string on up, with even to diggin in pressure, with drive knob from 9:00 to 12:30, nails Camera Eye.
Need to be gentler on the E string, especially from G down, as the breakup down there wasn't as pleasant to me.
Adding the DG HB in front of it seemed to do something nice in the mids that I can't quite pinpoint, maybe a thickening?
Settings shown below.
(M81 and Gemini sat this one out)

With “Character” dimed, it will cut some mids and boost others to give that Darkglass tone without scooping too much mids. It probably helps to clean up some of the muddier frequencies.
