Wow houses are cheap there! Anywhere in greater Sydney that would be at least AU$3mill possibly up to AU$7mill. NB I am not a real estate agent nor have played one on TV.

Next on the exam table, an ‘02 Ibby Ergodyne EDB 500. SIT Power Steels and getting my Mesa rig saved this from being sold as I now get a decent tone out of it. I gave it a dusting today and put a new battery in it. It didn’t need any other tweaks. This is a very comfortable bass to play even though the luthite body is relatively heavy. It is well made by Cort from Korea.

I hear ya. That same custom built home on the same size lot on a lake here in SoCal would have easily topped $3Mill here in Thousand Oaks, and closer to $5mill in a beach town like Malibu or Carmel. Like I said, you get a lot for your money there.

To my ear, they are on the quiet side, WRT output.
But that's what volume controls/boost pedals are for.
Tonally, they lean towards darker/warm side of things. However, that's with it's current strings, which are some pretty worn boomers.
I bet some fresh steels would brighten them right up.
Overall, I'd say good pickups.
But for me, I've been spoiled by the Lull T-Bass pickups in my Fender.
Before the Stonewalls, the Roscoe had a bartolini T4CBC. I actually prefer the bart over the Stonewall WRT tone and output.
I have set of those Barts. One is in my J shaped object.
Sorry to repost the VP, but wanted to consolidate all three versions. VP with SIT Power Flats, CP with EBCF, and IV with La Bella black tapes. I am thinking that the CP fits best. On the other hand, all three are neck PU only and tone rolled off. So, I know that is going to minimize differences, but still think there is a bit.
I used to have a Gio....never could pin down exactly what it was about the neck I didn't care for. Maybe the lack of the volute the SR series has? I wonder if it's profile is different too
