I don't recall who here I first saw use "batwing". Most recently was @RedVee . Lollipops on old fenders are ok, but I just have Thunderbirds (and am content!)

At my last church, we played a lot of songs in keys where the low B or C would have really been useful. By the time I decided to experiment with something other than a V, we were at the new one, and seldom have I needed anything below D. I have my BO IV strung BEAD, and play around with it now and then. I'm hoping someone will pick a song soon that works best with BEAD, and I'll see how it works in the Real World[tm].
Ugh. The new Epiphone 60's Thunderbirds are made in China.I guess I should clarify. Epiphone's China facility puts out a good product, I'm not complaining about that. I was told production wasn't shifting and that they would continue to be built in Indonesia, so that's what I have been telling people. Also I have to sell this stuf and MIC makes a difference to a lot of customers, they won't touch it.

Oh good to hear, maybe she's just a Sunday 'sound-girl'... yah, same here considering the weather - which tapered off between our sets so relatively rain-free driving home. It's not a big room but there was a good number of enthusiastic people in attendance. It feels like we're developing a 'fan-base' there. Opening band X-Confidence from Santa Rosa were fun (mostly original music) and our two sets went really well. Kirstin had been nursing a sour-throat the last couple weeks but she was in top-form Saturday night.
The Baltic Kiss people are so nice - we'll be playing there again with both bands in the months ahead.
I love when bands realize that we're all better off working together rather than feeling like everything is a total competition.
Also, as much as I'd love bening in some form of harder rock band (anything from Uriah Heep to SSPU), I'd be perfectly happy to play bass in a band with a devotee of Albert, Stevie, Buddy, etc.
