Not a Thunderbird but it is a Gibson I've been eyeing this 1968 EM-150 at The House of Guitars for years but I kept telling myself that I wasn't good enough to get another Gibson mandolin ( I already own a 1916 A-0) I finally succumbed to it's siren call and put it on layaway. It plays beautifully and the mini P90 just sounds amazing!

I purchased it as kit, about $50, but there's veroboard layouts available for the circuit too.

It's a great pedal!

I gotta say... regardless of anything, the guy looks like a bass-player. And yah - a P-bass. A meat & potatoes/gets the job done bass player.

He’s actually pretty good on bass.

Kind of went crazy with the "glue" it seems. Really wanted to keep things from vibrating loose. Looks excessive to a clueless person.

I know. They seem very intriguing. I ran across a new one a small online/shop was trying to get rid of years ago but chickened out. I wonder if they sound very different, if not too different. They don't seem to be in demand.

Sweet looking! I have always wanted an old Gibson F series. But they are $$$$. And I likely can't play one to save my life.

That's very... forgettable... little wonder why J&D were swept into the dustbin of pop music history... they were only "hangin' 8 1/2" - at best. The difference between legit music and pulp novelty.

I'd rather hear The Supremes sing a surf song...

Hollow-body & piezo, most likely sounds upright-y. Better if fret-less.
