You’re a lot better player than me so you’ll probably work it out with no problem, just get that muscle memory in full gear on those hard passages. Or do like I do and cheat with a short scale bass like my youth sized Sammick Tbird…I’ve played well up the neck on my birds before, but typically by working my way up to and/or down from those high frets. I’m working on All Right Now (which I’ve always loved) and it’s a new experience.
I had to retune a bird to E standard. Anything else is nuts, and in D standard I’d have to leap up to 18/21 instead of 16/19. It’s the first time I’ve even considered whether I need some other style bass. Eep!
