I walked in the door and they asked me to! I had never mentioned working there at all, what a fun thing tho, and they will have some good news in a few months (part of the reason they want me).

Bass ('66J I refinished because a 15 yr old someone "refinished" it, and rig from decades gone by. Prior two the Peavey 215. Had to the the Jensens. Used the other one on the guitar side.

We ended up with 6-7, a little more where it drifted (12in by the garage door). Only about 4 on the walk which was protected from the by the house. We got sleet for several hours Sun morning before more snow. So its kind of packed down and hard to deal with. Fortunately not ice like many got.
The city actually cleaned our street last night. Not on our side so I have to dig that out. Later, as it's 9F right now. I did get the drive mostly clear and we can come and go if needed. Hopefully not needed. Schools closed through Tues for sure. Many businesses as well.

Australia Day today.
I'm just hoping it goes off smoothly.

One good thing, the projected temperature for my part of Sydney is only 29c=84.2 °F today. Yesterday it was 40c=104 °F, and still around 30c=86 °F at ~9pm.

Count me in on this!

I guess I should add that this is a 59 Ford Zephyr. Although they didn't roll out of Ford Aust assembly (kits from UK) looking exactly like this. They were replaced locally by the Falcon around this time, but with a little overlap.

Pretty much that! Though it's a complete project: body work extensively, new paint, chrome details, interior, & all the mechanic too. But again, it's a hopeful project, if i can actually acquire the car from whoever the owner is. It's been sitting where i used to live a couple of years ago, on a trailer bed, waiting.

I did a thing today. You guys might remember last year I bought a 64 Thunderbird body that was routed for a Fender neck. I initially put a maple neck J neck on it and was pleased enough but many suggested a rosewood fingerboard I actually like a whole lot better than maple but these days I'll play both. I just got a new Fender Player II Rosewood Jazz neck and installed it today and and pretty happy with it, thought you guys might like to see it.

Great picture! We get lots of Cardinals at the feeder. We got about 12-15 inches not bad. Took me 2 hours plus to clear things. Just like the old days

Yes, there's 4 or 5 feeding on the back deck any given time (among others). It's our state bird. Some some blue trash the people in Lexington would have preferred. I think Kentucky was the first state to choose a state bird.

I def think the rosewood looks better. Is there a sonic or feel difference like there is with some treble guitars?

They're pretty ubiquitous in this country, at least east of El Paso. A few areas west of that have them.

And not everyone is gonna do it in the 'original' key depending on the range of whoever's singing it. Pretty much anything I sing has to be in a lower key than the recording.

dunno, for me the whole point of the Fenderbird is the snappiness of the maple fb along with the TB running gear...ymmv
