Oddly enough, having our last dinner in Edinburgh right now.
At a Canadian restaurant, called Down The Hatch.

Really hate to hear that. But seems he was a something of a challenge from the start. The band sounds great and there's no reason why a good singer wouldn't want to join. But maybe have your daughter give him/her an evaluation before you sign them up.
Don't have her do the rest of the band. We know how that will go. ;)

At times, maybe most times, the people aspect can be the biggest challenge in playing music. You can often fix a song and make it work, but you can't do that with people that have egos and are immature--and don't notice neither.
He’s pretty good, but at the end of the day, you guys can do without the drama. You’ll find someone. The other guys seem to be easier to get along with. Would the girl from Beat Street be interested? Although maybe not quite the right songs and maybe too far from the rest of you? You guys are a good core….

I did an abroad program at the Uni there in ‘77. There was a great music scene going on at the height of the punk explosion. An amazing city. It does get crowded in the summer though. Especially during the festival. Did you get to hike up to Arthur’s seat?

Cold & windy up there!

We have strong guitar/vocals/bass. The potential new drummer is ok at best, but a good guy. It might have to do, but our gigging days may be behind us. Maybe a party here and there.

I'm getting used to being GAS free. My new-to-me '97 Thunderbird is really growing on me, my '14 is great. The EB3 and SG are there in case I slow down, and of course the 2 Dingwalls and the Roscoe are world class. I don't look at classifieds anymore. I don't even pick up my other basses anymore but enjoy looking at them. C'est la vie, finally.

A drummer friend just sent this.

I will say it's a great reminder that music isn't perfect even for top professionals, nor does it have to be. I'm sure no one walked out.

I don’t know the song at all, was never a big Rush fan. But for a three person band with only two people playing (the guitar and drummer) it sure sounds like there’s a backing band or at the very least a bass track they are playing with. I was always under the impression that one of the magical things about Rush is how full they can sound for a mere three piece group.

I'm just considering how disappointing that sounds.
