Thunderbird Club

Thanks! My favorite thing in many ways in that clip are the Black Beauty strings. Really impressed so far. I just wish they weren’t black :/
I think DR make the same strings coated in different colors. I need to figure that out, too. I love the way they sound, but I'm not wanting black strings on everything.

Close but not quite...

Dragon Skins are "Clear Coated Stainless Steel on a Round Core Wire with Ball End".

All the other coated DR strings are "Nickel-Plated Steel on a Round Core Wire with Ball End".

So Silver Stars are the same as the Black Beauties... :)
Then I need to find those. As a thoroughly unimaginative person who plays burst instruments and does nothing creative at all, my strings should be silver colored. But I sure like the sound of Black Beauties. I like Cobalt Flats, too, so there's competition for my non-artistic affections.

Buy the case, save yourself a lot of trouble.
And, make sure you pack the case with something. Gibson and Epiphone cases are fine as far as they go, but the bass can still slide around in there a bit. A cheap towel or some paper is a good idea for shipping to protect the bass from shifting in the case.

Even worse. Ok Kat, let's round up the gang and save the Harley's and Gibson's.
You can keep the Harleys. They are fun as far as they go, but a Triumph will rip their lungs out. So will a Suzuki. And probably everything else. Harleys are actually a whole lot of fun to ride, assuming you don't mind a vibrating bowling ball and want to do the low speed squid thing and make pedestrians jump by dragging hard parts while doing routine turns on city streets.

Generally speaking, I'm not a big tort guy... but I do make exceptions when the instrument hits me a certain way. I have opted to not post a few pics cuzza the tort. This is the first time I've posted specifically because of the tort! Single ply yet thick, and semi-transparent (which is the primary reason it doesn't work well with most colors IMO).

I see yer getting in touch with yer inner Carlo:D

Very random, watch out. I'm up to late.

This song randomly shows up in my playlist while I am at work. I am always happy when it does.

Nice. My friends are Handsome Dick Manitoba’s kid’s godparents. He’s a really nice guy. Very charismatic.

He is also Handsome ;)

My favorite song from my favorite album from the Grateful Dead. 1977's Terrapin Station. One of the best songs Ive ever heard in my life. Anyone else in on this?.

It's trippy, I'm in!
Besides, Gerry has darn good taste in guitars. I so want the bass version of that guitar.
Some of the best concerts that I can't actually recall much about were Bay Area Dead concerts in the 1970's. Can't tell you what songs they played, when one song stopped and another started, who I was with, or how I got home - but I sure enjoyed myself. o_O

Raise you one Derek Forbes.

Tough bass player to follow... :)

Another amazing and underrated bass player is Mik Sweeney that used to be in Classix Nouveau...

Despite their very campy New Romantics look, they were pretty good musicians and a great live band, which I had the fortune of seeing in Copenhagen sometime in the 80's...

Mik Sweeney went on to build fretless basses after CN and is a member of TB...
