Yeah, use that word with your barrista at starbucks and you'll get a dead-eyed stare back from the slack-jawed server.

precisely why I don't have a barista or go to Starbucks..Yeah, use that word with your barrista at starbucks and you'll get a dead-eyed stare back from the slack-jawed server.
gorgeous...never had (always wanted to) a chance to play one....those pickups alone...

no Italian Cafes/Restaurants? Find that hard to believe..Your other choice in Canada is drinking dirty dishwater from Tim Hortons. I'll take over-roastedtorrefied Starbucks over Tim Horton dish swill.
It’ll happen. Others are devising the same scheme and have been working on it for more than a decade. But 2025 is too optimistic. The tech may be ready by then, but more like 2030 with all the red tape needed to be cut through, at least in the US. The industry looks at is as a potential boom with cars on the road 24/7. They’ll wear out faster and be replaced more frequently. Invest in batteries...now. And tires. And as Mr. McGuire told Ben in The Graduate, plastics. I’ve probably said too much....was at the Tesla plant yesterday and the talk is that by 2025, your Tesla will drop you off at work and then go UBER/Lyft folks around (driverless) and then pick you up at work when done. Tesla would take your car payment and 30% of the proceeds and you pocket the rest.....buh bye UBER (who's surprisingly not doing so well after the IPO) and Lyft.......Asimov's "malarkey" wasn't far from the truth.......
There are independent coffee shops that can good. But at least as many have over-priced underwhelming coffee. I can make great espresso at home so I will choose that. But when travelling, I am looking for the McDonalds of espresso; coffee that is predictable from location to location at predictable prices. So, Starbucks it is. Not great but predictable and acceptable.no Italian Cafes/Restaurants? Find that hard to believe..

I've got some some maintenance to do tomorrow, including getting some foam under the neck PUP. It should be sounding killer after that--and once I decide on which strings. My 64 has TI Superalloys and I can't ever see changing that so does the VP at present, but I'm not sure what direction I want to go yet. the '76 has Fender flats and that's fine for that one. So the string game begins

Playing my `bird tonight, I decided that the Roto 66s are done. The strings now have that dead rubber band sound. I had been thinking for the last few weeks that the strings just weren't what they were, but tonight I made the decision. Not bad though, I think they lasted me about 3 months, which is typical for me. But now I have to decide what goes on next.
I think my great steel string experiment is done. I appreciate why people like steel. Now I need to decide what happens next. Here are my thoughts, comments welcome:
Nickel Rotos.
Pure Blues,
Nickel Lowriders,
NYXLs, or
LaBella White or Copper White tapes.
Tapes, so you can tell us what they are like.

The Bay Area doesn’t even come close to the problem in LA. Construction everywhere. To correct the problems based on 2010 stats. I can’t wait to leave.Traffic was already severe when I lived there '99-'01
Yesterday (10 or so pages back) I asked:
I think I am leaning toward Roto Nickels.
Yep. My volts come from PG&E. Waiting for the shoe to drop. Run by a bunch of as****es. I don’t want to be banned, so I’ll shut up now.PG&E is in the sh11ts now.... confirmed they started the Paradise fires...YIKES!!
Good to know he’s the real deal. Nothing wrong with a good MIM Jazz. But to get your bird healthy again is great news.Got my ‘77 T-bird back after having the wonky neck fixed. Chris Maul, AKA the Guitar Doctor, in Lancaster, PA is the man!
I bought this bass new and finally had to put it on the shelf 6 months ago because the neck was so bowed and twisted. I have been soldiering on with a MIM Jazz but now the bird is back and the neck is dead straight. woot! Had it at church last night for practice and it was like having an old friend back.
Yikes. We are paying $1.70 per litre in Vancouver.
