I might as well, I just snagged a classic-pro at the local pawnshop for way cheap. The flock grows

And how about a Thunderbird guy, wearing a Thunderbird hoodie with a Thunderbird playing a Thunderbird, and holding a Thunderbird....too much!?View attachment 3671976 View attachment 3671965 View attachment 3671970 View attachment 3671972 View attachment 3671974
Well before Marie Condi got known, I started trying to have less stuff. It’s a struggle most days but worth it. And we are trying to get debt free, so that particular piece of art needed to go. Hopefully it finds a good home where it gets played. That's great. I know it's a relief to move that bass. I've bought but never sold anything on Reverb before and wondered what the experience was like, and never knew anyone who had said experience. Now I do. If I ever want to sell something I might ask some question. I have this thing--I tend to buy more than sell. It can be a bad thing.
I use every pedal during a set - the d.i.+ & Compressor/Sustainer stays on the whole time. 2 equalizers? I tried the MXR Compressor but ended up selling it.
I often use my EBS octave pedal in the same way, but it only goes down one octave. And because it adds more lows when I must play higher than I prefer.Agreeing with "less is more", my pedal:View attachment 3672371 used when we go out as a trio to fill up holes during guitar solos.
i like my MXR comp. it’s on 97% of the time. Love the Boss EQ, have been thinking about a second. My EH fuzz and delay both started randomly feeding back when switched on, so they need replacements. Haven’t decided what to get.
Thanks much for the recommendations of places in the Peoria area. Paid a visit to this one and enjoyed talking with the gentleman there. Very knowledgable and interesting perspective. Bought a new sets of strings. Liked but did not buy a nice 5 string G&L that was surprisingly light. 70 some degrees here today.
So what do you guys like for dirt pedals? I'm recently discovering that some edge in certain aspects of whatever that effect adds is making my presence felt in the mix in a cool way.
I've got a SansAmp Bass Fly Rig and a custom Dogtone Bass Fuzz. I'm into less being more, but am having a power supply made for the stuff I am using... with room for expansion if utterly necessary.

I also use the EHX Octave Multiplexer for fun. There’s a smart guy like that around here who has worked in music stores for about 20 years. He caters to the more "mature” players with wallets. I’ve only let him talk me into three basses...I was in my local L&M the other day. I was admiring a Yamaha TRBX 604 (red with a beautiful flame top). The Manager asks me if I want to plug it in to something. I said no, that would just make me want to take it home. Then he says, well just take it home and try it for a week. To that all I could say was "No, then it will just stay and I really don't need this bass right now". The manager is forever offering to let me take things home to try. I resist because I know that they will just stay. I suspect he knows the same.
I know...they're my gorgeous wifey'sFantastic!
The slippers are not you, however!![]()
Sounds like you have his devious methods discerned. Unless, of course, you've only been in there about three times! In which case, I think he has you figured out and you should not "represent yourself" in his court. There’s a smart guy like that around here who has worked in music stores for about 20 years. She's our rescue from the hurricane in Puerto Rico a couple of years ago. And she is adorable...even when she's being badWhew!
The dog is adorable. And I think that's about the second time I've ever used that word!
I believe Ashdown were the first ones doing that...theirs sound pretty good..Thanks. There's an octaver function on the SansAmp thing I have, but I haven't been able to figure out how to use it effectively yet.
I sold my EpiBird NR 5er on Reverb. Listed it here and Reverb. A few looks on TB, no offers. That's great. I know it's a relief to move that bass. Yup. My first octaver(Boss)only went down. Gave it to a guitarist. Found the EHX Micro POG-and YT demos-and got it for me.I often use my EBS octave pedal in the same way, but it only goes down one octave. And because it adds more lows when I must play higher than I prefer.
had to be that bridge cover..I sold my EpiBird NR 5er on Reverb. Listed it here and Reverb. A few looks on TB, no offers.
About the graphics on the white (nitro) Hamer Mutant:I love it! Who did the artwork?
Speaking of overdrives... That’s different. Guessing the “analysis” is pretty simple, like running a current through the liquid checking impedance, and a light through for color.
Still, easily tweakable.
