Thunderbird Club

We're doing great, thanks. I hear there will be food shortages for a while, so we may order online from specialty places for a couple of things, but overall we're good. Power has been on for over 24 hours, the house is warmed than it has been in several days, and I got the sidewalks and part of the driveway cleared as well as working a (nearly) full day from home. Other people have been without power for 3+ days. I know multiple people who left their homes when the inside temp dropped below freezing.

We also have great neighbors; we've all been watching out for each other.

Thanks for checking!
Good to hear.

Glad to hear you are doing well, considering.

Good evening Thunderbird loving sisters and brothers. Just wanted to drop in and wish everyone well. I thought I would post a family picture. Tired of winter, and working from home. I suspect this causing a longing for a new bass. I am literally glad the G3 is gone from GCs website. Find myself studying pictures of the NR birds, and intrigued by the discussion on what the necks might be like. I have to admit to wondering what the Flying V that was mentioned in relation to Simmons might be like. Silly I know, but these are my thoughts. Perhaps I have been cooped up too long.
Stay well everyone. Go Zags.

Hope you are doing well Border. And nice display of music making and playing equipment!

I love to make fun of Gene for his obnoxiously outspoken avarice. I also love the interviews he has done with Ace and seeing his blood pressure rise every time Ace laughs.

But, learning some Kiss bass lines you quickly find out that Gene, for all his faults (and some of those faults are hilarious), is a hell of a good bass player. And then you consider that he does that in a costume that can't be comfortable or easy to move in then add the circus tricks on top of it and you realize that he is a hell of a performer.

I'll still make fun of Gene. But I respect him as a player.

And then Kiss as a band is something. They didn't invent glam but they made it into a spectacle. They didn't invent the stage show but but they taught everyone how big a rock show could be. Without Kiss, there would be no Madonna, Katy Perry, Bruno Mars or Taylor Swift. Nor would there be the Scorpions or Judas Priest.
He was on CSI. Dude has really strange hair!

Thanks much Dagrev, all is well here. Snow is falling, but nothing like what parts of the country are facing. Zags are putting away Saint Mary's and I am heading for the man cave. Much to be grateful for in my world. I hope all is well with you and yours. Take care and stay well

Glad to hear you are going ok.

it is funny I always imagine Texas as being a hot place. My brain is struggling with all the cold you are having at the moment.

We get at least a little of everything now and then, but this is definitely off the chain for most of Texas, especially the length AND severity.

Beautiful weather here in SoCal. Finished a good round of golf earlier (ended up 3 over par) on a lovely private course nestled in the hills near Solvang. Short sleeve shirt weather here today. When I got home I fired up the Greco and threw on a BTO Not Fragile CD. Great bass, great Disc.

Thunderbird Thursday pic with most of the clan...
