Thunderbird Club

Quick question: is there any way to swap the original black Epiphone pickup covers for chrome covers?
:woot:

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe the typical Epiphone Tbird pups are a completely different size than the Gibson chrome covers.

The current standard Gibson pup (encased in plastic) will fit the chrome covers if the plastic wrap is first removed. That would also apply to the Eppi CP since it uses the Gibson pups, But not the standard Epiphone Thunderbird IV. I don’t recall which pups the Active Epiphone Tbird Pro uses.

But that wasn't being asked.

That wasn't made clear either but whether it's Epi P/U's or Gibson P/U's can't they all be swapped into some chrome covers?

Can someone explain the Neil Young hate? I'm not trolling, I just don't get it. I've always liked his stuff. My band has Rocking In The Free World in the set list, simple but fun to play with a Thunderbird.

I don't have to agree with someone's politics to enjoy their music.
IMO, his "voice" is whiny and grating. Not something I wanna listen to. AFA his-or Ted Nugent's, or pretty much anyone else's-politics, they don't matter to me. BUT! If I pay good money to hear a concert, play yer music and STFU. If I wanna know their 'thoughts', I'll read their FB page. Or tweets.(neither of which I'm gonna do).

There are plenty here who like him for either or both of performance and song writing.
Some dislike his singing.
Some find him to be a hypocritical, self-righteous, blowhard.

It is possible to fit into one or more categories here...

Yep. For those who like, well, any singer, guitarist, even Pbass player, that's their choice. I'm sure some of my preferences don't exackly fit the norm, either.

I would pay to see Ted and Neil duke it out.

My money would be on the motor city mad man as he brings more crazy to the table. And James Brown spoke the truth when he said "I don't know Ka-rat-ay, but I do know Cra-zee"

:drool::drool: Luv P1800's.

I had a '66 122S wagon (looked just like the pic) - other than my current '05 Element, it was my favorite car I've owned. I'd own another in good condition - loved that car. When I moved to the Bay Area in '90, I still saw many on the road but they are becoming pretty rare these days. Mine was primo when I bought it in '76, (only 10 years old - a doctor owned it) but it died a hard death in Chicago winters.

Was that the Volvo that had the two stroke engine?

Yeah, I had a PV544(63). I could fit the amp in the trunk with the bass(66 EB-3)in the back seat. Or t'other way 'round.
