I tried a Chaos Core 4 again today at GC

the neck and pickups blew my doors off.
I actually would choose it over a musicman HH that I tried 5 mins prior.

I am thinkin about gettin it....
anyone use the new chaos core's yet a lot in live situation?
How well does it sit in the mix?

well that model has an Aguilar OBP-3 pre-amp and those Rockfield humbuckers are sheer sonic awesome....that combo is very hard to beat....if i could deal with that body style i would be rocking one now!

Your right the necks on these basses are fast, articulate and quite comfortable....so come on over and join the club!

to answer your question they sit very well in just about any mix you want to throw at them....

Well Fellas after buying my Array Obsession in a five string model i decided i had to have a 4 string version.....however the factory won't be shipping any again until february (so i put one on order)...In the meantime I was looking at purchasing one of the Array attack models when i noticed this little beauty in the classified section...the price was right and i had just gotten a bonus at work....so (i think you kno where this is leading...lol)

Yep i bought an Array Limited for roughly half the list price from a fellow TB'er...

The packing job he did was out of this world (took me 30 minutes just to get to the bass..lol)

I have only had one day to spend with her (she needs new stings badly) and although the stock electronics are not even in the same class as the Rockfield pups and pre-amp on MY obsession, i am very impressed with the neck (very fast, comfortable, and articulate) and the overall construction. the volume, blend, and tone knobs are quite responsive, and its a kick in the pants to play

Spalted maple top and rosewood fret board with abalone dots, I'm not entirely sure about the chrome plated brass nut however....

If i decide to keep this once my obsession 4 banger shows up, i may just upgrade the pre-amp to an Aggie OBP-3, or a Duncan STC-3, and possibly some new pups

anyway there she is.....i will post better pics this weekend when i have more time

P.S. By the way are we going to issue numbers for the Traben club?

Awesome, I love the spalted top! I love the brass nuts, so I'd keep it, but thats just me.

We'd wanna ort something, the OP ain't coming back to do it.:scowl:

Well after changing the strings and adjusting the neck just a bit it sounds a hell of a lot better....but it is still very dark compared to the Rockfield electronics of the Obsession

Darkstrike....to my ears the brass nut always seems to put the slightest metallic hint into my notes....it could just be me, but have always preferred synthetic, or bone...

well lets start dishing out those numbers...lol

Nice Bass Motoman

Yeah, thats it, I quiet dig that, but more than anything, I liked the way mine sounded stock, so I saw no need to change anything.
Hell, I'd grab a graphite nut then dude, it should suit you far better. Strokes for folks and all that.:)

I love graphite too.:D

I'd like to experement with pickups sometime, but I'd hate to buy some and end up prefering it stock.

Thanks....the neck on this thing is so freaking incredible...i really can't believe how comfortable and fast the neck really is....i'm not really diggin the tone compared to my Obsession, but i can't put it down because of the neck...lol

anyway I'm I number 12 or 13?

Well, pickups are an easy swap, I'd be more worried aout the neck, etc.:)

Your 13.

I am out supposed to be getting a Ric -- I am saving for one but then... I saw.....a Bootzilla...and fell in love....(the pheonix rocks too).... these things are harder to find then hens teeth from what I can tell so far. I have put a for trade feeler downstairs for one. Anyone here have a Bootzilla? What are they like? Neck specs? From what a traben owner told me they should have a Jazz type neck which suits me just fine. Any probs with Bootzillas (besides attitude? j/k LOL) that I should know of? Any place anyone can point me to that might have one? New/used, doesn't matter though I think used would be less of a sticker shock?
