Yup, and the passive switch is a huge plus. Pretty cool that the Pope can make active pickups work passively (read through the online manual, regarding active pickups like EMGs).
Yes, I used to have a Flexcore and they are just that - Flexible. Extremely transparent, so you hear the wood and your fingers. You better not make mistakes

The one that sold was listed for $475 and super nice condition. It didn't have a jacked up headstock like the $450 one and was in far better shape overall (it appeared).
And this one was just posted 9 days ago, while the condition of the $450 one is probably why it has been posted for 3 months now and no sale yet.
Is it just my eyes or the camera playing tricks, but does this neck looks severely twisted on this blue/white Axcelerator? Note the upper frets seem at completely different angle than the lower frets. No?

I’m a little late to the game but I owned a custom shop Cirrus for a good while and currently own a 1st gen TL-Five. I’ve also had two additional 1st gen TL’s and one 2nd gen TL.
To me the TL is like a jazz bass but with things like the ebony FB, neck-thru construction and super ferrite p/u’s (1st gen that is) that give it its own flavor of that sound.
I always called my Cirrus the ‘poor man’s Ken Smith’ as it had the closer p/u spacing and had a distinct growl to it. Construction on both basses have always been too notch IME.
It's a real shortcoming to not put a serial number on the bass in a more permanent way. Stickers have always bothered me.
I tend to duplicate the serial number under a control plate, truss rod cover, etc... so if I have to identify, I can relay where the backup serial number is and how it's accessed. I prefer to keep it in an easy spot.

Surely your name and a contact number would be better proof of ownership than a serial number.
True! I do have some instruments with a slip of paper in the control cavity with my name and email. These are the ones that gig out the most. In the 80s, I used to put my Social Security # in my instruments, as that was common practice then. Whoops! Got rid of that number in them about 15 years ago.
However, since I don't gig nearly as much as I used to, I just starting putting the serial number in the hidden places just to preserve that specific number assigned to the instrument. I keep the numbers on file with photos and descriptions of the instrument.
I knock on wood that a thief doesn't do me wrong. I have had my share of thefts over the years and have learned a lot from them.

If it werent for that paint chip at the top of the front pickup, I would be in the car right now if I were you! That is bomb-a$$ cool!
Do you have a Foundation ?
Dyna is just a Foundation, only you don't have to walk over to your amp to tweak settings.
OK the onboard EQ is nowhere near as precise as on your amp but less wear on shoe leather must count for something

I have 2 Super Ferrite Dynas, an 85 4 string, fully murdered out black as well as a 91 5 string in a green burst. They sound and feel great, just as Peaveys do from that era. They do feel pretty much like a Foundation, but are slightly nicer, as they all have the Schaller bridge and tuners, as well having the preamp. I really like the preamp on these basses, the EQ centers are all in nice, usable places and the active/passive switch gets you classic Foundation tone. Bonus: the treble control moonlights as a tone control in passive mode. It's cool Peavey offered everything on their 80s preamp that became standard by the 21st Century. The only downfall to the Dyna preamp is battery life. Where all of my other active systems will last a year or two before the voltage dips below 8.5V, the Dyna preamp gets there in about 4-6 months. I have had the batteries dip so much they were a distorted mess within 8 months. Not a huge deal, though, just needs more batteries.
