Uber 410 = Uber Bad *ss

I'm with Dennis on this. Modular for me is the way to go. You have the right rig for any situation. In my case, I only have two cabinets, a Neox 212 and 112. Yet, I have three different rigs. I can do a small gig with the 112, a medium gig with the 212, or a large gig with the 212/112 together. I can lay the 212 on it's side for more bottom if I need to, and then put the 112 on top. Or I can stack them vertically for better dispersion and to get more height.

Modular is the way to go for me too. Right now, it's 6.0+210T for small-medium, 6.0+212 for medium-large, and (once i grab another GBE1200) GBE1200 + 210T + 212T for large-outdoors :bassist::bassist::bassist:

1 cab always equals 1 rig.
2 cabs equals 3 rigs.
3 cabs, depending on the config and the ohm load, can be as many as 9 rigs.
4 cabs can be 16 different rigs. On a GBE 1200, give me four different 8 ohm cabs, and I have 16 different possible configurations.

The total is greater than the sum of the parts.

You Benz guys would have to be one of the best sales teams on the internet... lol. And as much as i appreciate your help Fretless, my bank account doesn't. So it looks like i am buying a neo 212, a neo 210, a neo 12, and an uber 410 ;) What else should i get ? When is the video with the uber 810 dennis?

On the 600- i really do love it. I'm seriously gassing for the 1200 but only because it looks so cool- i mean give me my 600 in a 1200 chassis and i'm set. On a serious note i think the extra tonal options on the 1200 might be more of a hindrance, as i am a setup and play sorta guy.

My friend bought a gbe600 after hearing my 1200.. He was telling me how LOUD his 600 is.... i had no idea how loud it was till i played it last week... Not only is the 600 LOUD but it is one of the sweetest sounding amps that may have ever herd... were were playing it through my pair of aguilar gs112s and his newly acquired neox212 together and then separately. we also tried the 600 with his ampeg 4x10 with the big ports on the front bottom cab,,, and the walls were shaking,,,,he is a cop so we didnt have to worry about any cops coming to tell us to turn it down.. hahah

Dont let that 425 watts at 4 ohms fool you.. it is way louder than other amps rated at that power in my opinion.... and to top it off it is able to do 2 ohms too..
I have not heard the 600 with an uber 410... but i can only thing it would be very nice..

This is exactly what I do. One of my amps has a hi pass at 30Hz, another has it at 33Hz.

I certainly don't have any low end rumble or boomy sound coming out of my Acmes at all, in all the various rooms I've played in. My sound is extremely tight and punchy and has been characterize that way by those who have heard it as well.

Now that I've heard true lows from my instrument... I simply can't go back to cabs that cut off at 50 or 60Hz (the majority of 'bass' cabs). But I'm not stuck on Acme; I'll always be interested in trying out other cabs!

One thing that's particularly nice about Acmes is that the low end is easily "tunable." Most of the time, I stack my two Low B2's vertically, which provides great dispersion in the room. But on those occasions where there's too much bloom in the low end, I stack them horizontally on a Carvin dolly. The result is a few dB attenuation of the extreme low end. It really changes the sound.

As long as your cabinets can produce the "Uber-Low" notes to begin with, you have options!

I am the queen of plug-n-play myself. The 1200 right off the bat was like "What am I supposed to do with all this control"? Then after playing with it for a few days I realized that pretty much once you find your tone it's plug-n-play. I seamed alittle overwhelming to begin with because if you have knobs, you MUST use them. I started with a channel at a time.

OK, the tube channel here we go. I played with it for a day and got it dialed in.

FET channel here we go. I played with it for a day and got it dialed in.

ok now for the global stuff...a little messing around and I realized Ireally didn't use 2of the 3 global sttings so that wiped out a couple knobs to play with. Every one here knows my love for the 6.0 and it's simply the best head built in the under 40 pound class. But the best head built (or at least I have played) is definately the 1200. That thing is more versatile than I ever dreamed a head could be. I actually find new tones daily.

There's an Uber 810?
What else should you get? Go for the Sleeve for the 1200, it really looks nice on the 12's cabs and the corners lock in. When I run the 1200 with dual 112's, I put a 112 on the floor, the 1200 on top of it and the second 112 on top of the 1200 with the kick stand down. The back corners lock together and it doesn't move.

Talking about the Uber 810 or 410?

[Looks like you're the Lone Freakin' Ranger of the Uber 410 -- Unfortunately!]

I'd love to hear all the GB stuff -- amps and cabs.
Any DFW TBer's want to help a Bro. out?

BuffaloBob just got one...he PM'd me.
