Uber 410 = Uber Bad *ss

the 1200 is a beast and the uber 410 attached to it is off the hook. Perfect match of 1000 watts to 1000 watts...and Tone for days/weeks/months. Thanks Roger...Definately a pro pick for 750/1200 users.

Hi Fretlessboy-I'm taking your "Old :hiding: advice"-I'm ordering an Uber 410 to pair with my "Beast" GBE1200...(also I have 2 chest-thumping Earcandy BassBomb 212 cabs to try with it as well) I'll report when I hear it...thanks :)for all the feedback...Peace...DAcat

i think you will really dig it. The Uber410 is a beast as is the 1200.

They are a perfect match for one another.

I agree Dennis about the set and forget aspect of the GBE 1200. I have a dialed in setting for each channel, and the only thing I really use to vary the amp is the global settings, and primarily the scoop for slapping.

Other than that, I use the tone adjustments of each bass to vary my tone from there.

BuffaloBob4343 -- Dingwalls, GBE1200, and an Uber 410 -- that should be one happy bass player for quite a while!

[Shame he doesn't live around DFW.]

Lo-Freq, now add a Sadowsky hybrid P to the equation and I am a very happy man!

I'm a bit outside the Sadowsky circles -- is a hybrid P the same thing as a P/J?

If so, those are great sounding basses.

A hybrid P or P/J is a Metro Bass that has a P-Bass body and a jazz style neck. Right now, mine is a P only, but I am going to have the guys at Sadowsky add a J Pup at some point in the not too distant future to make it a P/J. I love the tone of that bass for the genre of songs our band is covering (90's to present rock). I also love my Dingwall ABII as it is very P-bass sounding but with a modern edge and clarity with a HUGE B.

Oh, and my Genz rig is the perfect compliment to those basses for that genre as well!

You should have the guys add a reverse "P" at the bridge instead of a "J". Much more meat easier to adjust and a super tight fat bridge tone. Just a suggestion

I would like a Dingwall and an Uber 410... you are not helping things :rollno:

:D

The biggest difference between a Dingwall and your Warwicks is not the fanned frets, which take very little if any time to get used to, it is the neck profile and general playability. I loved certain things about Warwicks including their low end tone and their African tone woods. My Dingwall has everything I really liked about the Warwicks (bubinga top and neck, wenge board, great growl) but with a super fast thin asymmetrical neck profile, banjo frets, an 18mm spacing and a bit more clarity in the upper mids and highs.

Interesting - it sounds to me like you and I have similar tastes. I really enjoy the depth and clarity of my Corvette through the NEOX cabs, but I'm thinking that an Uber cab would really bring out that tight low end (and maybe even add a bit more snarl).

I really prefer the 'Vette over the Thumb and I think a good deal of it has to do with the bubinga body. Excellent choice for your Dingwall - it looks great.

I had an FNA Jazzman LTD 2004 fiver that I really loved the tone of, but I could not past the 16.5 mm string spacing. I also had a thumb fiver, and I much preferred the Jazzman.

I've never played through a NEOX cab, but the Uber has very huge but tight low end and has a nice old-school flavor at the high-end.

BTW, my Dingwall has a bubinga top, but the body is mahogany, so it is nice and light.

I discovered a local dealer the other day who has an XB3 cab and got a chance to run my Corvette through it via a GBE-750. I was really pleasantly surprised at the sound - definite nod to a vintage looseness, but Genz clarity all the way. If the Uber is even snappier than that, it's definitely a winner.

Quick note - the GBE-1200 through the XB3 810 is wonderfully deafening.
