Uber 410 = Uber Bad *ss

Interesting where you perceive the 1288 to be louder than the 210. I'm not big in using specifications as I rely much moe on my ears. I have used the 1 watt at 1 meter figure to judge how loud cabinets are (I guess this is a measure of efficincy). Per GB website the Uber 210 is 100db 1w/1m where the 1288 is 97.5db 1w/1m.

The specs say the 210 should be louder. Isn't it supposed to be that a 3db increase sounds twice as loud? Maybe its the frequency response of the 2 cabs that makes the 1288 seem louder?

I'm still gassing for a Uber210 to match up with my uber 212. The 212 + 410 combination is the best sound I have ever heard...just can't justify the need for 2 cabinets that big. The 210 seems like a great combination of size and sound.

I think that maybe he was talking about max SPL vs. what you are talking about (sensitivity/efficiency).

Hey Ryan what's up? I got my cover from Larry at LeCover.com

It's one of the very thick Cordura padded covers and it's great. It was only $74.45 which I think is more than reasonable. Larry's number is 630-529-1824. Tell him Neil sent you.

By the way I love this cab. I typically use my Mesa M9 to push my UBER 410 but this weekend I'm just bringing the GB M9.

Went to local store today to look for a Streamliner to try, they had only the 600 model. First tried it with UB410, nice big sound, then a single 1288, oohh nice surprise, then 1288 w/ UB115, huge sound, had to sorta dial the 1288 back into the mix as it was somewhat lopsided sounding.

I passed on a new UB410 last fall for a used Epi UL410. Salesdude would not budge just about $100 less for the Uber. In this economy who lets a buyer leave with cash in hand over $80-$100 haggle?

So I got pissed, left and bought the B-stock Epi online, at a few hundred less of course. The Epi arrived in factory box, paperwork and looked like a brand new cab, cept for a slight ding in the front grill.

Anyway, after playing those Uber cabs today, I spoke with the owner and he was sorry it went down that way last fall. He offered me a pretty good deal on the UB410, but I was really just there to check out the SL amps. I may go back when they call me once a SL900 arrives and def gonna check out that 1288 cab(s) again, I really dug that cab today.

The UB410 still sounds as awesome as I recall it; just not in the market for a 410 cab anymore. But I still may get UB-ered, we'll see. :p
Genz has Got it Going on right now. :bassist:

How are the lows? Does it bring the beef? I have an Eden 410 xlt, I hope it's a different animal.

With the streamliner it has just enough low end to sound nice and thick without being boomy (you can always boost the lows for boom if you like!). I never had a 410 xlt, but I had a 210 xlt and hated that ringy low mid bump. This sounds nothing like that to me, much cleaner and more articulate but still warm.

Thread revival....

Just got an Uber 410 and used in two gigs last weekend. An outdoor(ish) party - actually inside an enormous barn that was open on three sides and then the next night at my favorite "musicians bar" which is quite close and comfy.

This cab is fantastic with my Shuttle 9.0. I hit the pre-set bass boost for a few tunes and it was deep and clear. No mud at all, even dropped-tuned to D for "Forever Man".
Whippin' Post, One Way Out, Black Magic Woman, Liz Reed all sounded just great.

I have an XB3 that I use at our practice space but have never gig'd and have never really used at high volume and I have been using an HD410 and like that quite a bit but I wanted a front-ported cab and this one came at the right time.

I have another gig this Friday at another "regular" joint so I should be able to feel/hear the difference in a room with strange acoustics.

We'll see but so far I am pretty happy with the 9.0 + Uber 410 combination.
