Still on the vegan kick, but the last 3-4 days I've been ravenous hungry. Any thoughts on why this might be? I am doing a decent job eating different fruits and veggies each day.
Likely you're missing some nutrient and your body is translating that need into a desire to eat. Try finding vegan alternatives to some of the things you used to eat (ie. try eating some broccoli to replace the calcium you might have gotten from dairy before... though broccoli has much more usable calcium than dairy ever did, but that's a different topic).
Or try meeting your diet half way and indulge the craving with a bit of vegan junk food. A vegan veggie burger and fries, maybe some vegan cookies.
I certainly don't want to encourage bad eating, even if it is vegan bad eating, but if you go "cold tofurkey" on not eating ovo lacto and don't introduce vegan foods you'll enjoy from time to time I think you'll have a tougher time transitioning to an all vegan diet. Too many people go vegan and then live off of steamed veggies and brown rice 24/7 and then cave on the diet because it's "too hard". Be honest with yourself about your willpower and your own eating habits and let yourself adjust at a pace you can handle.
