White basses on stage

I’ve never liked white basses, always thought they looked very plain. Owned one for a few weeks and never warmed up to the color. However, I do like the aged white look where it starts looking almost yellow, like Woodys Ric. I’ve been thinking about buying a used P bass with this look. Also, if it weren’t for white guitars, we wouldn’t have TV yellow! A fantastic color IMO.

It was good enough for Sting back in the day

I personally love white basses but I don't have any action shots.

This is the bass that got me hooked. I still have it and play it regularly. White always looks great on stage, IMHO, especially a Bird!!

Love a white 'Bird.

I have an Epi Pro active T-Bird in the plain brown stain, great player, tone machine. Imma strip everything off her and ship her to Marty Bell in Cali for a white sparkle finish. He'll probably charge me twice what I paid for the bass, but that's entertainment.

And of course, I can't let one of these threads go by without putting up a picture of my white lady. I've been rocking her since 1985 and she shows very little age. Granted her white body was closer to the white of her pickguard back then, but I think she has aged gracefully and looks good as her original "Olympic White" turns into a softer shade of ivory.

Me and Pearl, she was my retirement present to myself six or seven years ago. Ain't she a beauty?!!!

All my other basses feel completely neglected now, except for her black fretless Fender P half-sister that I take as a backup or for our first "lite" set.

Edit: yeah, it's sitting on a stool, I'm goofing around playing it like an upright for a Stray Cat's cover!

Edit 2: When asked why I don't play guitar I show them those hands.

I have come to appreciate the white finish on my Ibanez. I used to consider it sort of second to my black, dark stain, and sunburst basses.

It looks good and stands out on a festival stage without being ostentatious or showy.

It’s going to show the stage lighting, so it becomes a part of the light show.

And it fits in great at church!

Ah, that good old RB II 850!
I notice that yours too is becoming lightly yellow-ish like mine...
