Will 80' styles ever come back into style?

maybe then I can get a decent mockingbird double P in a color other than the ones they offer now. I hate the heritage series basses...
I always thought these were REALLY friggin cool, and not really too much into the cheesy territory.
The only thing I didnt like about these basses was the J pickup being so darned close to the bridge. Way too much 'clank' for me.
Other than that, yeah-these were some cool basses.
I graduated high school in 1989. I hated the popular music of the eighties, and still do. There was some good stuff, but for the most part, the music was aweful. As for the instruments, I have a headless Spirit, I still dig it and wouldn't mind playing a USA Steinberger someday.
Fender reissued the Duff bass as well as putting out some flashy new deals with their Aerodynes.
'80s Charvel neck through
I have this exact bass, and love it. Bought mine in '85. Just recently put some EMG's in it since the original pickups sort of fried out. It is sort of "yellow" now due to playing out so much. Wish I could restore it to it's original white....
I have always switched between this and my '72 Fender P-bass...
That yellowing must look HORRIBLE!! You should sell it to me so you don't have to look at it

definitely. Man, miine looks just like that middle one, except the switch is on the other side of the knobs. The yellowing could be considered a sign of "wisdom" I guess...

80's basses never left, they just got put away for a while until all the hype of the 70's basses was gone...80's basses now and in 20 years it will be 90's basses....
