Wow... lots of pent-up hostility oozing out in this thread.
Let's not pretend there is some kind of integrity involved here. That is as dead as Hendrix and Joplin. This is a cash grab running on a recognizable name and nostalgia. If money is what you are after, you need to include acts that will bring in people. Spoiler alert: The rap, hiphop, dj, and EDM markets are dominating things right now. If you want anyone under 30 to show up, that's what you need to have. That stinks, but so do festivals and so does dry humping the past. So there you go. There was zero chance of my going to, or caring, about this thing, so what the #%$& ever.

How big is the lawn at Woodstock - and how many watts does the PA need to adequately project the need for people to stay off of it? Just curious....
Rap is now older than Rock was when Rap hit the scene.
No.1 Worldwide grossing genre is Rap/Hip-Hop, with EDM coming in second. Rock comes in at a distant third.
At a local music fest, I went to one of the Rap/Hip-Hop showcases. I’m glad I did. The crowds were light, so I was encouraged to come right up to the baracade and swing with the crowd. I saw a lot of true artistry on stage, well worth the time I spent there. Do I own any or plan to buy any Rap/Hip-Hop music? No. Not really my thing, but I have an open mind and glad I went to that venue just the same. It’s all about reaching out and trying to connect. Better than sittin’ in a bar listening to Skynnrd and VanHagar for the rest of my life.
When the Fest first announced their plans to include a Rap/Hip-Hop showcase, many of the narrow-minded in the community threw out all the expected outcry. Things like ‘that attracts violence and crime’, ‘we don’t want to attract that element here’, etc. I was sad to see that type of train wreck in my community.
But after the four day music fest with over 200 bands, there were no police incidents at all. The worst crime was probably one person under 21 trying to sneak into a bar venue.

I saw Steve in 1971! No holograms required, back then.
One tells a sad story and in no way glorifies gang pifestyle and a third grade reading level.
The other was a blues standard before Zeppelin lifted it.

I agree. It went to ugly and stupid and promotes violence, heavy drug use, and degradation of women such as pimping.
