Hahaha! I have 'lots' more pedals than anything else excepting maybe the patch leads I use to 'celebrate' with my pedals...
You check the classifieds everyday knowing there is no room on your board for one more....(unless you Tetris just a little better)
You've just ordered a new pedal and you're browsing the Internet stores and reading reviews for the next one while the package is being shipped.

If you consider using a pedal/pedals an essential element of playing bass (you don't play bass without effects).

.... If you are afraid that if you buy a new effect for your bass pedal board without getting one for your guitar board that one's feeling will be hurt because you showed favoritism

... whatever pedal you look at online, you relate to it in terms of bass so when you click on a review, you're often rudely reminded by doing so that the pedal was in fact intended for guitar; and it doesn't matter how many times this happens, it's still a shock that the pedal wasn't made specifically for bass
... you remember minutiae from other pedal threads, or minutiae about pedals mentioned in non-effects TB forums, but can't find the post to refer to it directly
... you're able to find a thread/post that another pedal-head referenced, but couldn't find the original thread/post themself, and do so
... you mainly play/gig double-bass clean, but continually hang out in the FX forum causing excessive GAS buildup.

So you buy her a women's Bluebeard tee shirt to match your own, just to ease her loss for a few more days.
Although she still nudges you every day to hurry up and build your stupid green muff.
Which you do, and of course it isn't as good as the Bluebeard.
She catches you eyeballing her newly restored to her board effect and gives you one of those 'I dare you to take that off my board again' looks.

... when you scour for deals, not even for pedals that you want, because you might be able to resell it for $20 more to put toward a new pedal... in the end, you then justify the entire amount of the resold pedal (not just the profit) that you put toward the new pedal...
