I absolutely do. Ibanez does a 14mm-spaced Gérald Veasley model in their SR Series. I ended up getting a great deal on their wonderful SR876 and im very happy w a 16.5mm spacing... But it would be lovely if it had the 14mm spacing. Oh, well--at this point I'm gonna go 1of 2 ways when I get my next bass: Either I get that Tequila Sunrise-finished Gary Willis signature model and keep my 876 as my main 6 or get the Veasley model n' convert my 876 to fretless!

PS: I should have mentioned that I don't use a B-String--I'm using e-to-e tuning w / a Hipshot D-tuner("Un-CHAINED!!), and I also use a pick a lot .....So, for me, the appeal is to be able to write on bass more, play chords, play more arpeggios...You can see why a 14mm spacing would be intriguing to me. Yeah the Sonic Spark has piqued my interest for years, but the relatively high price for what amounted to a subtle tone-sweetener kept me away for a long time. These days my tolerance for price has risen quite a bit and I love my subtle tone-sweeteners, but since they were discontinued they are much rarer to come by- I just searched now and couldn't find a single one pop up for sale, only a single one sold on Reverb in the last 6 months, and an average of only one sold a year on Reverb since COVID times! Might have to try to trade for one on TB

High school was not great for me. My school was EXTREMELY social class conscious and I didn’t live in the right part of town and I wasn’t an athlete either. I was in a lower sub-class that was filled with musician/freaks like me. We had a good time together but the ‘popular’ kids wouldn’t have spit on us if we were on fire.

I became semi-acceptable in my senior year when I finally got some decent guitar chops and could impress the girls with them. They still wouldn’t date me though.

So, I cried no tears when I graduated. I have never been to a class reunion and never will. My perspective is that I didn’t want to see most of these clowns when I could do it for free every day. I’m sure as hell not going to pay to see them now.

I occasionally run into a former classmate and exchange pleasantries, but have no desire to socialize with them.

As for peaking, I’ve had three. The day I I married my wife, and the days that my two sons were born. They are all that really matter in my life.

Riverhead seems to be focused on the domestic Japanese market, so your best bet is probably finding one in Japan and importing it.

Unless they are talking about blending in a section, anyone who says Spiros are not "arco friendly" is just admitting they don't practice. Spiros + practice are the best arco string out there, especially the solos.

I had Roland D-Bass 1X15 Active Powered Cab used with Taurus preamp pedal that served me well for 8 years

Bought in 2006 had 250 watts for woofer and 80 for tweeter

Was Class D amp and Neo Speaker at 55lbs which was light back then

Active part was DSP that matched Amp to Speaker

Had pass thru to add more of them and could become Sub with switch
and Electronic crossover

I now have Mesa Subway 1X15 at 37.9lbs being 71 happy about that

I also liked his playing and sound on this set. I assumed strings were Spiros with fairly close miking and all acoustic(no pickup mixed in), nice growl and attack. I don't know anything about Mr. Ryan but he sure did the job on this recording. It's one of those that as a young player was very influential in affecting sounds to try to duplicate.

Mine also arrived and I am floored at how nice the case is. Bought it for my headless Ibanez but it also fits my Bronco bass, so I’d imagine almost any shorty will fit. Big thanks to the OP for this killer deal. I happen to love the red, but I’m a colorful fella.

Doom update - things went quite well. Dancer's knee wasn't quite right but held up, nothing trainwrecked, about 50 people listening which is very nice for an afternoon opening slot. Of course four of the people on stage have family and friends there and it's a small town of less than 6000 people, so that helped get attention and a positive reception. Guitarist was nervous, aside from things like choir in middle school and maybe playing acoustic guitar in church once she's never really gigged before. Pink paisley Flying V worked fine, though it turned out the pot is scratchy so I had to keep it at full volume between songs and just be careful to keep the strings muted. And we headed back pretty soon after our set, so I was home not much after 8 PM.

Singer posted one complete song on the page, so you can see it wasn't the tightest show in the world, but fine.

Some changes during the final week... no canned cello solos, instead guitar solos were live. Two dancers instead of one. I was asked to start the backing tracks while I was already on my way there. We dropped one song from the setlist for time, but then it turned out we had enough time to do an encore, and but we just played the first one again instead of doing the "missing" one.

As for what's next, the main organizer wants us for something else they're doing in the area on August 8. which is the sincerest form of positive feedback. Dancer won't be able to make it as she'll be at a bachelorette party in another country, but we'll play anyway. We'll figure out later whether to do it acoustic or electric with tracks or what. We've decided to start looking for a drummer after that, possibly also a violinist or... something. We'll figure it out.

In any case, seems we weren't all that doomed after all.

Turner -- I got the name wrong in my previous post) hosted several at his house just west of Atlanta, and we all brought basses to show off. You were a regular participant; so was I, and Mike Childree. The others I forget, but I do recall at one of these you and JMT got into a slapfest which humbled me mightily.

This sounds like corroded effects loop jacks. Plug an audio cable into the send and return. If it clears up, turn it off and clean the loop jacks by rapidly inserting and removing a plug several times.

I fInd it hard to believe that GEDDY LEE doesn’t plan for having a backup bass in the same tuning ready to go at a live show. He has well over 50 years experience doing this.

These are nice, like a small jazz bass small neck usa made. Harley from cro mags is the only guy I can think of who played one

Anything but sunburst or natural.

I see a mudbucker and a rick toaster added. A bunch of dumb switches. Cool bass!

New to the group!
I have a a Hartke KB 15 that is tripping out after being switched on for a few minutes
Possibly something in the output stage tripping the protection circuitry.

Please can anyone on the group help with a schematic or service advice on this model?

Hi MB, I realise this is a very old post, but I am in need of a KB15 schematic as I have a client which hasa problem cutting out when on for a few minutes.

If anyone else reading this tread can help it would be hugely appreciated.

Reviving, since I hopefully have a BAM 200 on the way. One difference between the TC 200, 250 and 500 seems to be the BAM200 is the only one with 10 M ohm input impedance, the others are 1 M ohm. I am hoping to get a god sound with my Realist wood pickup. Never could get a sweet sound with my Quilter Bass Block 800. Current setup is Grace Alix into QSC CP8, which is quite good, but my passive MAS 16 and 18 are staring at me...

If you're able to, audition them in person and judge for yourself.

I guess this is the bridge. This is off a mid 80's Korean made P/J. Obviously the plate is not black. A heavy sucker. Weighs 234 grams

I finally got around to making the repair and it went well. I decided just to replace the whole jack because it was cheap and the old one wasn't in great condition. Plus, it meant practicing soldering on two wires instead of one. Thanks for the help, everyone!

Well over a year ago I sent my one-of-a-kind Michael Spalt Thuya Project Bass to Scott "Stonewall" Miller for repair. He had apprenticed with Michael Spalt and was recommended based on his background. Communication dwindled until finally there was no response from him at all. Now his business # is no longer in service. I am profoundly disappointed and would like to get the bass back.
