I run a 110 top string in D standard and it handles well in Drop C. Generally use DR Black Beauties rounds with that K3 coating thingy... Saves money on strings.

Thanks for the replies, looks like I have a few suggestions to try out. The reason why I say fuzz onto fuzz as I'm not after more volume, I'm after more distortion/fuzz! Time to do some experimenting with the pedalboard though... Had a brainwave, the Blowtorch is very mid-focused in it's fuzz...

It's only happening with the Big Muff, and on multiple amps. So I'm not entirely sure, but reckon it's worth a shot.

My Muff is already modded for tone bypass... :D I likes my midrange.
