It can be switched between 100 watt mode to 25 when the amp is on, The amp will rebias when you switch power ratings, except from 25 watt mode to silent record mode,

I made a mistake one time by turning the power off before going to standby, later when I went to play the amp the auto-bias lights were not acting right but I cannot not remember what they were doing but anyway I just pressed both arrows until it went all green and it went back to normal...

I think you should do the rebias while out of standby mode, I could be wrong but it will not set bias while in standby mode. Please correct me if I am wrong.

It sounds like your an ampeg kind of guy, for ampeg tone their is nothing better than hsvt cl . The superbassman sounds great as well but a fender rumble does not come close to a superbassman imho.

You may already know the turn on and off procedure but I will tell you just to make sure. Turn the power switch on first and let it warm up a couple of minutes then hit the bypass switch and your ready to play, When turning the amp off hit bypass switch first wait a minute and turn power off...

If you don't it will burn the amp up it always has to have a load it always needs a load out of main speaker out. the back of the amp says 4 ohms but you can run one or two 8 ohm cabs and it will be fine. nothing lower than 4 ohms

Make sure the cable from amp to cab is connected to main speaker out which must be used at all times. There is extra speaker out when running two 8 ohm cabs and what lowphatbass as advised. I own a bassman 70 with that cab and really like owning something that was made very good. CONGRATS hope...

I have been thinking of trying to find a leather handle or having one made.

On page 35 RODL2005 has a picture of his sb300 and it does not have a handle on top and I cannot see the holes for the handle and cannot see the plate that holds the head in the cab. looks like the way I wanna go.

On the tv twelve you have to turn the preamp volume up to 8 before you even notice some tube warmth, and it has no grit at all just clean and a tad warmer sounding. IMHO I don't think a tube will change the tone enough to replace it with a high price tube but stranger things have happened...

Jimmy is right the newer tv series is not designed like the older tv amps. I would just go with a jj, it is not going to effect the sound of that amp by changing one tube. These amps get a bad rep for not being expandable, cost is high but for me it is a very nice sounding amp with a different...

+1 on that my main rig is the new bassman 100t when I want serious all tube tone but I want hesitate to use the tv twelve at an acoustic jam. It has a very good flavor for that.

Those are very underated amps imo. I have the tv 12 and I think it has great tone. never got the chance to try the fifteen. I bet it sounds nice.
