I wrote to Traynor about the TC810 sensitivity. I was told average 95 to 98B@1W@1m, while the TC15 Neo 97db. My old Aguilar GS112 stack was 98db at 4 ohms. Seems hard to believe that the fridge will not play louder than my 2x112 cabs. With these spec a pair of the Traynor 115 would be louder...

Lot of tube amps, especially lower wattage ones, have a bit of bloom, sag... which is not DB751 style IMHO. I think you will have more luck with solid-state amps ! Good luck with your search :bassist:

Aguilar DB751 is not a tube amp, only the preamp has tubes. The authority of the (solid-state) power amp has a lot to do with the feel of the amp, even at low volume, IMHO. That being said, TH500 - TH700 will give DB751-style sound.

Opinion about the pickup ? Mine should arrive next week (natural finish too!) :bassist:

Speaking from personal experience, "ready next week" means nothing from Zon. It can be true, but you can also wait months... you will know when you'll have your bass back. Zon don't have a Plek machine.. where will the work be done ? Plek Repairshops - Plek Best of luck !

Curious about the new pickup in the P5R, Vintage Fat-Precision Revolution... The pickup in the regular P5 seems to be the only week point (according to some..), so this new fat sounding pickup looks promising ! I recently played a fretless Sire P7 and was blown away by the sound and quality...

@MisticoRitualista I don't own a Microtron, but it seems the jumper is at J9, between J1 and J4, near the output jack.

In a nutshell, I received my bass 2 months after I asked them pictures to see the current state of the bass.

Very sorry to hear this. I hope that I am wrong, but I am pretty sure that even the body and neck of your bass don't exist...:( Otherwise you would have received photos I think.

Thanks for the detailed review ! I'm a VCA compressor guy and I really liked the Bassist, but there was a little bit too much compression on the low end when the treble (d-g strings) was perfect. Seems like the Becos with its sidechain will be the answer for my search (and tiny size as a bonus).

What is your power supply ? Isolated outputs ? Strymon pedals are digital and daisy chain can cause noise problem.
