I’ve had pretty positive experiences with UK made Ashdown amp heads. But I did have a pair of Rootmaster 112 cabs from Ashdown that were nice and portable but couldn’t hang for nothing, they’d start farting out at small venue gigging volumes. I can’t really blame them though, they barely cost...

I am interested in comparison of ABM 112-PN vs RM-112T-EVO-II.
Is the more expensive one better than less expensive one sound-wise. Does anyone have exsperince with these cabs?
Thnx
So... two really great amps here, I know that much! I’ve heard demos of both on youtube but never heard either in person. From what I’ve heard in videos (and lets be honest, how much can you really tell from those videos anyway) they sound really good, but without a doubt I’d still have to try...
Does anyone one know much about the ashdown evo ii 900? I know it's 2 evo ii 500 amps together, pretty much 2 power amps, but would it be safe to only use one cab with it or would that damage the amp because of the other output having no load?
Also if there's anything about the amp I should know...
Can anyone help with any info on this early version of the ABM Evo please?
I have a guy who is suffering with his Evo Mk1 overheating and I have tried everywhere to get even basic info on the circuit. He is trying all of the obvious things like cleaning heatsinks and fans, checking both fans...
I found this recently since I have always played 1x15 combos in the past and just got a sweet deal on a 2x10 and I'm having a tough time getting along with it, and didn't realize how much of a difference there could be between the two options!
Mine is an Ashdown, but I'll assume that a 1x15...

I am the original owner. This one is actually built between EVO I and II models, but considered II. Beautiful sounding with a perfect blend of classic and modern. This amp received routine maintenance care every 3-4 years. Checking tubes, connections, fans etc… All in great working condition...

I was looking for an amp for home practice, small gigs and recording with an audio interface.
First I looked to Ampeg Micro VR Head (200watts RMS @ 4 ohms) and the SVT210AV CABINET (200watts RMS @ 8 ohms)
But now someone offer me an Ashdown ABM 600 RC EVO IV (600watts RMS, minimun @ 4 ohms)...
This is the cab I was planning to play shows with but since I haven't played a show since I bought the cab I have only used it maybe 3 times. The front edges are scuffed I just found out upon further inspection and there is a scratch in the very top so it is a little beat up. I am wanting $400...

This is a question for all the experienced folks since I still have a lot to learn. I just picked up a "like new" Carvin BX-500 from a friend for $150.00 and needed a Cab for it, so I went to my local Music Go Round and they had a nice Ashdown ABM 210T (2x10") for $200.00 that I bought...
Just bought an Ashdown ABM500 Evo III on Reverb.
I bought this amp knowing the subsonic feature did not work although everything else was supposed to be A-OK. The pots and sliders are a little scratchy but no big deal.
The problem:
* If you engage the mute function and then turn it off, it...
I gather the sub harmonics feature is really just an octave divider (1 octave lower).
Is this feature very usable and would an EBS or Boss pedal do the same thing (or better).
Aside from tone, curious as to how well it tracks.
These amps came both with and without.
Is the compressor decent on these, or is an outboard compressor the only way to go?
Never had an amp with a built in compressor that was any good until the Fender 800 Pro which is excellent.
Curious about these.
Gently used Ashdown ABM Neo C210 Combo. Potent portable bass combo amp that really delivers signature Ashdown sound. Really great sounds in this amp and you can even push more by adding another speaker. Tube drive circuit, compressor sound great.

If you know Ashdown you know this is a very versatile amp, a lot tonal options. Great condition, no mechanical issues.
$475 Paypal or cash, local pick up
Found these two amps within my price range under $500. The Fender used and the Ashdown was a clearance. Trying to decide which to pull the trigger on. Anyone own or have used either of these? It would be played through an Ampeg SVT 410HE 500watt 8ohm cab. With a Fender Modern Player Telecaster...
I've always has great luck with Ashdown amps but recently picked up a "new/old stock" Ashdown Abm 900 Evo III. While the right (top) speaker outputs sound amazing, the left (bottom) Poweramp sounds like there is literally a fuzz pedal running parallel with the actual signal from both outputs...
Hello talkbass. This is a repost as I accidentally posted this under new member introductions last night.

Hi!
During my soundcheck on Saturday my speaker blew in my (made in UK) Ashdown ABM 300W 1x15'' cabinet.
I'm probably going to get frowned upon but I really like the sound of that cabinet together with my Ampeg PF-500 head and jazz bass. I found that it sits just right in the mix with my band...
Hello guys,
I have recently purchased an ABM evo iii 500 and an ABM 410h cabinet, but I'm struggling to find a setting which I'm happy with. That being said, I don't really know how I should be setting the amp in the first place to be honest! I'm used to an Orange Bass Terror 500 which was so...
Still an amazing head, with a massive transformer for a hybrid.
No issues, just got a Tecamp Puma and I've decided (at pert near 60 yrs old) to scale down.
Amp is missing 1 EQ slider plastic cover. Here's some specs of the next generation amp, but, mine's very similar... and made in England...
