I really hate it when people re-finish old basses, I find it kills the character of the bass. But I was very pleasantly surprised with this restoration. AMAZING job!!! I love it.

Beautiful workmanship!! Glad to see a bass like that could be brought back to life, so to say. Because it's a '63 I can't help but look at an instrument like that and wonder what stories it could tell if it could talk.
One story for sure is of it's recent "re-birth."

the hardest part was getting the yellow area to be the correct color, with not exposing the filled in routed areas. it would look good at first glance, but it took awhile to get the yellow to 'pop' and have some depth, as opposed to being a one dimensional 'cover-up'.
