Argument in store over used bass

Were you working a booth there or something? Buying products from the floor is supposed to be against the rules - every time i leave the convention center someone's rifiling through my bag. I'd love bring home a pedal from the china cafe in the basement...

Was always there as a performer, doing endorsements. As for the purchasing stuff, you absolutely can (or could a few years ago). I believe when I did buy something (5 string ABG) I had to register it or something like that though. As far as I know, they only sell on Sunday morning, also. Gotta scope out what you want before hand, then hit them up early that day. Things disappear really quickly.

Some places will ship things to you too, but I think the point is to get rid of stuff.

wow ... 24 hours, 311 posts, 15 pages, and over 10,000 views ago I commented on a what I thought was a thread beaten like a dead horse at that time ...

I wonder if the OP realizes that if he deletes his first post, everything goes away? ... ;)

But only a DB would delete this insightful thread.

This thread delivers all of the goods. A few thoughts:

1. You can grab me, but only if you are a very attractive young woman who doesn't have halitosis and my wife isn't watching. Even then, it has to be temporary. Just pointing that out to avoid confusion.

2. Salmon is good. I like salmon. Epi should sell a line of salmon to go along with Thunderbirds.

3. I like Thunderbirds. People who don't like Thunderbirds aren't real men, unless they are talking about Goth Thunderbirds. I don't like Goth much of anything, unless it's Goth Salmon. If you don't like Goth Thunderbirds, you can still be a real man unless you don't like salmon. Then you just have a problem.

4. I only buy a bass after taking a few test hacks at an amp. If the amp caves in, then I buy the bass. If the bass breaks, than it's clearly not the right bass to go all Sid Vicious with, and I'm not interested. It's a practical precaution for when you have to protect yourself from a d'bag who isn't an attractive young woman and who wants to grab you. Halitosis is a deal breaker.

5. I openly carry a bass guitar. I'm one bad dude. Stay away from me, or else!

6. Tacos are good, but al pastor burritos are better.

7. Most of us don't have a first language, and we are proving that we don't read or write. We are bass players, so we don't have to do anything except exist to be awesome.

8. Some stuff I forgot, but it's back in there somewhere.

OK, there's my latest contribution to this entertaining utter waste of time. Goal: 20 more pages before Friday. Ready, BEGIN!

1. Suppose the salmon has halitosis, but is being held by an attractive young woman who doesn't?

2. Let's jettison the generic Goth bass moniker. If the disputed bass had been a VisiGoth bass or an OstroGoth bass, would that have made a difference?

3. Based on his pecan pie experiment, the OP appears to be willing to go to near-pathological extremes to show that he is not wr . . ., wRoonn, wroooerournnnn. . . . Does this mean he is the Fonz?

Just did a real world test of the Fair Game Mentality theory at my local grocery store.

Needed a few last minute items for Thanksgiving dinner. One of the items was a pecan pie.

Strolled over to the bakery. No such luck they were all sold out.Just so happens though a fellow shopper had two sitting in their or should I say the stores shopping cart.

So given the Fair Game Mentality theory,I walked over and scooped one up out of the stores buggy the fellow shopper was pushing.

For whatever reason, the fellow shopper got unbelievably agitated at me.

I tried to explain to my fellow shopper that they hadn't paid for the pie yet,so it was fair game. They said it was in their cart but I explained that the cart didn't belong to them.It belonged to the store and that until they paid for the pie it belonged to the store as well.

So I took my pie and checked out.Maybe there is something to this theory after all.

So now you're converting to Doosh-ism?

Or maybe the tale might go more like this;

I stumbled upon the last pecan pie at the market. I picked it up, looked it over. It seemed like it might a good pie for my Thanksgiving dinner. And it was on sale for half price.

I set the pie down next to the muffin & donut case while I went across the aisle to check out the cookies. They were on sale, too.

Moments later, when I came back to put the pecan pie in my shopping cart...it was GONE! Some rude dooshbag had put it in his shopping cart and was already heading to the checkout counter!

No effing way! We struggled over the pie, whereupon the pie container broke open and pecan pie was flung all over the place. Bystanders were watching us, laughing their asses off.

Then the store manager came over and yelled..... "Hey, dbags! GTF outta my store, and stay out!"

In the end, we both had pie on our faces. So we each hopped in our cars, off to another store, whereupon some total a-hole walks up to me and........

....(to be continued).....

If the bass was an Ostrogoth, it would have beat up everyone in the store, looted the till, and sacked Rome.

I don't like pie, unless it is pizza pie.

And, I have found the true meaning of this thread, delivery of fish:

Interesting, I'm always so busy with meetings there that i could have not noticed that they weren't checking bags on Sunday. Usually by then I'm half dead on my feet. Might have to hit up the mooer booth Sunday morning.
